Tiny Queen is on! :cheer: She scored 70.09 for her SP with 2A / 3Lz-3T 3F.
Her SP is right there!

However, it looks like her 3Lz was UR, can anyone confirm (at the time I'm writing this, the protocols aren't out yet)? That would explain that she "only" got 70.09.

I really really REALLY love her look. Hair down (finally! and with shiny accessories), beautiful light blue dress... she was smiling so much through the program, it was very lovely. :love:

Definitely a good look for her! She was selling the program really well. Can't wait to see how it improves throughout the season.
 
I love the hair down look too, really softens her features. She looked good... and I like that program for her. She really knows how to hit when it matters.

but, with all this 3A talk, when I watched her do that 2A I wondered how on earth she could squeeze that into a 3A? I am not trying to throw shade, it just boggles my mind how she could do it. But you know, I have no problem with being proven wrong. I would love to see her try it and have no trouble accepting "i told you so." She's the type to just keep working away and working away....

True that we have enough proof that she's a hard worker. I'm rather glad she didn't attempt the 3A. She probably wants to present it once she knows it's worth trying. If it isn't right now, that's fine, it can wait. :)
 
Ok, going to bed now (lol it's 1:30AM here), but just saw the protocol on Twitter and she got level 4 on her StSq and all her spins. :)
And she did have a UR call but on the 3T, not the 3Lz... I didn't expect that I was too focus on the lutz instead, lol!
Anyway, hopefully she'll fix this fast for the FS. She almost has this competition in the bag, she needs to be her usual clean self. :)
 
The 3T was visibly UR that's for sure. It seemed to me like she didn't have enough speed going into the second jump of the combo and she jumps the 3T almost from a standpoint. She still needs to work on that but I suppose she's still getting used to the new layout.

I agree. She changed layouts for both new programs, so it's no easy task to be brand clean very fast. At least her other elements were clean (including 3F :)) and she didn't fall... And she gained speed in a general way too. :) no doubt she'll eventually get there.

That new look make her look more mature and beautiful than the simple bun she had for a long time. :love: I really hope they'll keep it for the rest of the season. :)
Regarding the look, I wonder if she'll have a new dress for the FP. I remember when we first watch it on The Ice, the shoulders were distracting and clothing were literally slapping her face. I hope that had been changed, at least.
 
well done Satoko for great SP!!! 70 pts with UR seems pretty good, power of backloading, next is tano everything :biggrin: kidding aside, that was really good but i am afraid she will get same criticism as she did for her LP last season, program feels one dimentional and there are no highs and lows, but her performance is lovely :love: how i wish she would change her SP to her Hernandez's Hideaway :luv17:

Yeah we already knew this wasn't going to be a good program ever since we found out Lori was going to choreograph it. :palmf: It's literally a medley of copy-pasted movements from other programs she's done before and it's a shame. In that sense, Un Sospiro was superior. However, she's performing this program with so much freedom and joy and she's so smiley, and this is what Un Sospiro lacked. But for the love of god, get two Tom Dickson programs next season, no more recycled Lori programs for the Olympics.
 
Lovely to see the blossoming of more expressiveness. The hair down is almost a metaphor for her willingness to be more open to the audience. Lovely. Progressing nicely towards 2018 in my opinion.
 
Program and jumps aside, she looks much better this season. The hair makes her look her age, very pretty :)
 
She did great. I love this program... I love this music, so no matter what she does it carries me along :) She's really trying to be BIG to match the music in the footwork sequence, which is hard when you are so tiny and not so powerful. I really like her effort to that end. I really like the change to her costume and prefer the sparkles in her hairband too! A girl has to have sparkles when she is in the stars!!! She is so dependable, you have to respect that about her.

2: It was a really nice touch, I liked that they added that.
3: lol yes! But when you're a cosmic girl, you're used to not have air in space. :p

I was sooo happy! I decided to stay up just to watch her and I was not disappointed. Despite the UR on her flip, she was just the best. So proud! :love:
Considering this is only the first competition of the season, I'm really looking forward to seeing how her programs will evolve.
Ok, it's 3 AM, going to sleep... Geez, only Satoko and Yuzu can make me stay up so late, lol!
