This is indeed, VERY cute! No wonder Yuzu was surprised but happy, he did not expect that (me neither, watching the video lol).
I actually cried when Satoko results came up after her LP, I knew it meant she was going to GPF. I was SO happy. Last time I cried of happiness like that was when Yuzu also managed to qualify back in 2014, by a very very short call.

Nobu In a press conference I remember you saying "I will do it with a shuu and land it with a paa. It feels like that, and I'm just like this." Can you explain that more detailed?
Yuzu: Well shuu... and paa. (2:52) (Points at the screen) That's the paa.
Nobu: So with a shuu you can do a quad... The shuu is when you go onto the edge?
Yuzu: No it's when I jump.
Nobu: And when you land it's paa?
Yuzu: Yes, I mean don't you get it?
Nobu: No no.. we had this conversation before but I don't get it. Satoko, do you get it?
Satoko: Mmh... I think I understand.
Nobu: Oh! We have another weird one here. What about you Keiji?

Later Nobu was asking about GPF, Satoko got up all out of sudden and said "Before we start , Yuzu kun, congrets" and everyone laughed it was so unexpected.:laugh: Then she said "I wanted to tell you properly because after my long program I was watching men and I realized once again how great you are and I want to work harder too". Yuzu replied shyly "I have no idea how to react when people tell me this face to face. Oh no " and everyone bursted out. :laugh:

ahhhh, she is so precious, i guess even if you are a queen you cant help being fan girl when it comes to Yuzuru :laugh: (i know there are many people who would disagree but still :biggrin: ) i hope Yuzuru realizes that this is a great honor comng from Satoko :luv17:

Adorable.^^ Considering how quiet and shy Satoko is (though she IS coming out of her shell more and more), no wonder everyone was surprised. Especially Yuzu. His own reaction was adorable.:love:
EDIT: Hey, I just realized she calls him Yuzu-kun, now, instead of Hanyu-kun last year. Progress, lol!

They're mostly silent throughout her routine but when they do talk, they are mesmerized by her.

Carol Lane: "I know she takes a lot of flack for her jumps not being the biggest ones in the world but I'm in the part that doesn't care about that; because the way she goes in and out with those soft knees is just so beautiful. So I don't care that they're not big I mean look at that spiral, the extension, oh my goodness."

Kurt Browning: "I have not seen very many skaters with the ability to dig so deep into the music, own it and then deliver out above the boards to the audience like Satoko can do. (...) Her face sells her skating so well, she's such a little actress out there. And a queen. I would follow her."

First of all Carol Lane is me. Secondly, everything Kurt said goes out to everyone who insists she has no presence on ice, her expressions are not natural and so on. Some of us happen to agree with him :agree:

In other news, according to this article Satoko would like to compete at both 4CC and the Asian Winter Games. She says every competition this season is very important leading up to the Olympics.
