They just showed during the livestream a video of Satoko training a 3 Axel on a harness.

They ... what?? How did it look? I guess it‘s not too unusual, many skaters practice the harder elements on harness but then never include them. But for Satoko it‘s particularly unusual, as I‘d never have thought her to have 3A potential. She has a nice 2A but the height just isn‘t there... I guess it‘s only for training purpose anyway. I hope she does well today! Good luck, Satoko!!

She's been practicing the 3A since the 2015-2016 season.

Satoko did two great skates, despite them being not flawless, and I'm proud of her. It's sad that she won't attend 4CC, because her chances for podium there were much higher. Oh well, can't be helped...
Her FP dress is evolving and placements are getting higher)) one more step dear, just bring the old one back and you'll be on the top again!

I also miss her SkAm dress! I think there were still good things for this comp, even Jackie Wong said that her opening 3-3 was the cleanest he'd ever seen from her. And she finally got stsq4, and I hope it happens internationally as well! I am a little worried that she will basically be going to World's without any preparatory comps though. I still hope she wins, I believe in her!

I read on twitter that Satoko was originally offered a 4CC spot, but she turned it down so Mai could go. Maybe she will do a B competition before Worlds, I certainly hope so.

Oh, I thought it was just JSF spreading the wealth considering how they sent Wakaba to worlds last year. And then you have Kazuki going on the men's side. Is this confirmed?

TSL mentioned in their latest podcast that Satoko will be going with Rika to Colorado to train. I am a bit sad, I wanted her to go back to TCC and work with Ghislain. I am also still hoping she does a B comp before World's!

ETA: A skater has mentioned seeing Satoko in Canada! Fingers crossed she is there to work on her jumps!

Satoko scored 67.79 points in the sp today. I think she got 2 urs (3lz<+3t< ?), although we will have to wait for protocols to be sure.
