There were flaws. I can't see Canadian TV, so I don't know what exactly were the errors, but according to the protocol, they got -GOE on the twizzles, their midline step sequence was rated only level3 (it was level4 at the GPF), their Rotational lift was rated only level2 (it was level4 at the GPF), and their final combination lift was rated level3/level4 (both lifts were level4 at the GPF). They also got a -1 deduction for an extended lift (they got that at the GPF also).

The base value of their technical elements was 1.50 points lower than what they did at the GPF (and that was with their GPF twizzle sequence downgraded to level3 due to Marie France's stumble), but with the +GOE lavished by the Canadian judges, they wound up with a technical score 0.66 higher than they got at the GPF.

And of course the Canadian judges gave them PCS scores ranging from 8.58-9.00, while the GPF PCS ranged from 7.85-8.30.

Marie-France and Patrice skated a lovely program. The only little wobble I noticed was with the twizzles. She seemed to have some problems with it. I am glad I was able to see this program in person - it was a great show!

As we all know now, Marie-France was not well and they almost had to withdraw. I guess twizzles and dizzyness don't mix well.
