Jasper said:Well I'm not positive about Petrova/Tikhonov going on further, so this might be their last season. Who knows with those Russians, they seem to constantly be changing their minds. I've heard varying reports about that pair, Slutskaya, Plushenko, and Klimkin either retiring or continuing with competition. So we'll see in time.
Mafke said:Considering that they have (MHO) the best pairs skills overall (as pairs as opposed to two skaters on the ice at the same time) that doesn't bother me at all.
And, let's be brutally honest, who else does Russia have at present? If O/S don't really move up in the rankings at this competition (top five at the very least) I'll be very surprised to see them together next year.
