Serafima Sakhanovich

A new interview with Serafima
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHajyMwVO08

Q: You appeared at trainings for the first time after the transition to Rukavitsyn's group.
A: Yes, we tried to make a smooth transition that not really a lot of things should be changed that it was easier for me... There is just a little bit other attitude of a coach towards an athlete, everything is a little more professional [in that group]. If something doesn't turn out - here nobody speaks "go and make it!", instead of this they look for a problem root and they explain: "it is impossible because something is wrong" - there are distinctions in this

Q: How is it possible to combine [with the sport] the preparation for examinations in the ninth grade and what examinations did you chose to pass this year?
A: I go to school very seldom, we are engaged every day with tutors - during two and a half or three hours, at week-ends - it happens till three and a half hours. I will pass chemistry, biology, Russian and algebra.

Q: They spoke you want to get on the Youth Olympics...
A: I surely want it, but hardly it will turn out. I shall try but it seems to me this my dream is already impracticable

Q: Did you like to work with Nikita Mikhaylov in general?
A: Yes, it was pleasant to me very much. He has a fresh look at music, he always finds something new. I had much simpler programs earlier - mediocre transions, several steps and that's all. And here is such a difficult program... He is a very good choreographer and a good person

Thanks!

I am glad she did better here than at the JG and am also glad that the federation is trying to give her as many competitions as possible to keep improving on her score. Her jumps are obviously very shaky this season but she's still one of my favorite ladies :)

Over an hour of Sima answering random questions over at her "periscope". That's a new video streaming thing I guess, I don't know. Anyway, watch it now before she inevitably gets bored with it and deletes it forever :) And if she streams again tomorrow, I'm sure you can ask her questions in English and she'll be happy to answer.

She should get her own reality TV show. I could watch hours of this stuff! :hap85:

Agreed! :hap93: If anyone is willing to translate any of what she said I'd be so grateful, but honestly just the video even not understanding is very entertaining :) She seems to have a very fun personality!

She doesn't really say anything important, I think it's mostly her friends who were asking the questions so far, so she's just messing about really :) You can see her dad enter the room at one point, so there's that. Not sure in which video though. The only important piece of information that I've heard is Sima saying she's doing fine during practices, but can't get it together for competitions. It's a mental thing, she says, physically she seems to be fine. Also, she seems to really like the Harry Potter movies :)

Sima seems strange!! I like it but what's with the cat make-up? Lolz.

Maybe she'll skate to Harry Potter

Did she just say, she got 3 at physical education?
How is it even possible for world silver medalist in any sport?

That was just for throwing though. She said she had 5/5 for everything else and 4 for jumping.
