Lazukin has some nice qualities, but he has never been consistent & he doesn't get good PCS...he is very slow on the ice. I think being coached by Buyanova will help Sergei politically over Samarin now. At least I hope so.

I was in Bratislava and consider it as a privilege to have seen Sergei’s free program live – to me it was the performance of the night. :thumbsup: I wish judges had given him higher PCS. Hopefully they will be more generous during the GP-events.
Unfortunately I’m not so sure about that. With Sergei’s age in his case I fear her politicking power is limited. What’s even worse in Russia than having a coach with no influence is being to old in the eyes of Russian fed. PCS gap between Sergei and Samarin was by the way ridiculously low.
However, the most important thing is that Sergei himself does not pay to much attention to all these things happening in the background, but simply goes for it and tries to skate his best.
