Shoma Uno: 2014-2024

So basically, Shoma wasn't feeling comfortable and wanted to rule out the new costume as a possible reason for his discomfort...

Perhaps my thoughts about the costume made him think it might be a problem, feel free to blame me for that. (I was in an uncomfortable situation around the time I found out about the new costume too...)

At least the new costume wasn't the real issue! I'll forgive Shoma if he decides to wear it to Worlds or 4CC.

I think that's right. When he came off the ice it sounded like Stepen was telling him he did 8 rotations but then he said "Butterfly?", as if to say he missed the butterfly exit ( cos he ran out of time?). But hey, Sho did better than Stephane! Steph fell on his spin! That may have been a history-making event - first time a coach (almost) falls on a spin. The audience was laughing during the replay!...Every time I see an exit from a spin, I'm reminded of how I don't like that new rule this season! Beautiful skate though -- lots to like about it. The quality of his movement is so amazing. Now on to the free, and he's a great free program skater.

I was all revved up to see the new costume! Looked like the tighter fit would have been great for showing off his lines. Maybe next time?

Yeah I mean... that suit it going to be worn someday. It's blue and it's... gravity more the "sexyness"
The SP is really still evolving and I think we haven't seen it yet with the full "sass"

And as I just saw this in Kazukis thread, if Shoma could transform this into his Gravity (so not exactely the same vibes, but you know what I mean) that would be the cherry on top.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and sharing the Sho card I sent out. It says "Merry Christmas and smooth gliding into 2023 " inside. I sent one to Stepen in Shompery and wrote a note thanking him for all he's done for Shoma. I really hope he received it!...I will be singing along on the Hymn to Joy! LOL! (Note, the card isn't blue. That's just the stand it's sitting on -- how cute can they be? This is Sho's favorite photo of himself with Emma chan.)

I'm fine, it's actually sunny and warm in San Diego. I still need to decide whether to stay up extremely late or wake up extremely early to watch Shoma. No matter what happens, I hope he shines as brightly as he possibly can!

We're freezing but have electricity in the Northeast. Prayers to those who aren't as fortunate throughout the US.

I just have a good feeling about tonight and I'll be dreaming for a great performance Shoma is happy about and that Koshiro can excel AND Yuma pulls through and is on the podium.

I just watched men’s practice today.
Shoma didn’t try any triple and quad jumps and just checked single jumps.
Even his run through.
I didn’t think he was injured but I got so nervous.
But after his run through he jumped some beautiful quads and 3A1Eu3F only in three minutes.
Go Shoma.
You can do it.

I think he is just conserving his energy and practicing his choreography. He did something similar during his last practice before the world championships this year! I trust him 100%. Go Shoma!

Doing ok here. Didn't get nearly as much snow as expected, and the story now is the winds and.cold temperatures. With the wind chill factored in, it is -14F (-25C). I was praying my car would start up when it was time to come home from my Christmas gathering. It did, thank goodness! Just a few more days like this though, and it will warm up...I need to look at a few of those magazine photos to warm up!

Just a few more hours until we can cheer for the Prince.
