Thanks MK,

Just to add, Alex used to work with Gracie Gold and Chris works in Glacier, wether he actually own the rink or not I’m actually not sure.

If you listen to Chris' commentary over the years, there are many skaters that he's watched training at 'his' rink. I also remember him mentioning Akiko Suzuki and how she didn't miss any jump in training. I think it's great that British Eurosport have an elite figure skating coach who knows and sees some of the skaters in training as their commentator.

Chris has an administrative role but also teaches. In fact he was on the ice yesterday teaching. He's a busy guy! He also has gone all over the world giving fs seminars.

Thanks guys!

I was just wanted to explain that when Simon said Shoma trained in Chris’ rink doesn’t necessarily mean that he owns the rink. It could mean that Glacier is the base rink where he works.

Oh yeah it wasn’t directed to you but to the person who ask the question.

Updated: there is also whispers out there that Chris was always praising Shoma because he train in his rink not ‘his’ rink so I just wanted to make that clear to people who ask here that we don’t know.

This is what's called looking kakkoii, even when you're not trying! :luv17: https://twitter.com/Arriba627FS/status/1027321017281208320 Photo is taken all the way across the rink with my crummy camera, so it's not the best quality. Still kinda fun...Thank goodness I didn't take too long of a lunch break today! Went out and when I came back, he was just starting to run through his programs. Oh guys, we are in for a treat this season. It's one thing to see these programs in a You Tube, but live -- they are both awesome! And what I love the most, I get the sense that he is totally committed to both of them and really likes them. It's like the minute the music comes on, his whole body just becomes super alive. Afternoon was more emphasis on programs, and morning was more emphasis on jumps. I think his middle name should be Hercules. I'm not sure how he can jump shomany quads. He is SO strong. Both sessions pretty intense!

I have some more pictures, but there's something funky going on with my computer, so I'll try to post them later.

I asked Demi-san if he speaks English, and he was so funny. He held his fingers up and said "a little bit". I thanked him for taking such good care of Shoma. He understood that and said thank you. Seems like a super nice guy. Anyone who would play basketball in the heat with the Prince has to be a good guy!

Thank you Arriba for the updates! I can’t wait to see his programs live!! Do you happen to know which quad jumps is he mostly focusing on?

Anyway, I’m looking forward for more pictures and updates from you. Thank you so much!!

Ahhhhhhh, you are so lucky!! And that was so sweet of you to thank Demi-san.

:thank:

Thank you so much Arriba, I owe you a lot! The Prince is looking handsome as always and I love Alex's jacket, looks just like Shoma's but 5 times bigger
You made me sooo excited and optimistic about the new programs (not that I wasn't already). So Sho has found a new sport after darts and baseball his new love seems to be basketball

His sessions usually consist of a little bit of everything, and I’d rather not get too terribly specific. If an element is in his program, he’s practicing it. 4Ts were looking good, the rest of the focus was on the other 3 quads that have been in his arsenal already. I wish we could forget the quads and have him do a bunch of 3 jump sequences. I really LOVE the way he has perfected that, and it just looks so smooth. He did a few of those. Worked on a bunch of spins.

He will have his hands full honing these programs and changing the Ice show triples to quads. I know when we saw the ice show programs, we pretty much knew certain triples would become quads. Even at Sk Can last year, he was still saying “I need to work on my stamina”. This stuff is all really high energy.

Taken through the plexiglass. They were standing right in front of me. Any time you see the trusty notebook in Alex's hands, you know he’s working on jumps. https://twitter.com/Arriba627FS/status/1027336456245796865

I want to use this one for the caption contest. I think the caption is ALEX: What language are we speaking now? SHO: I’m not sure. I thought we speak skating! https://twitter.com/Arriba627FS/status/1027336552094019584

Shomajesty looks great! Were you a dead banana Arriba being so close to Sho!:eeking:

I was pretty under control for me! Everyone does get a little crazy in the presence of a Prince! Love the color of his hair, but I think he does need a hair cut. Unless he's growing it so he can do something special with it during one of his programs. I have a feeling the new run-your-fingers-through-your-hair thing that's popular this year might be related to Uncle Dai's return. I couldn't help but laugh when he did that move a couple times today! :laugh2:

I would have died... Arriba so strong.

I can imagine Fluffy demonstrating the move and he would be like 'sensei--are you sure..?'

Is the rink crowded? Did you meet other fans there? How do we usually know this kind of news? Like when and where he will be practicing. Sorry for the lots of questions!

Glacier also has a livebarn stream if anyone feels like paying a subscription and watch the stream from 9-5 to catch a glimpse of the tiny prince
