It’s like a Shoma festival.
25ans post cards, Quadruple Axel 2019, and Shoma’s blu-ray and DVD at last.
I can’t wait.

OMG so many merchandise, so many dead bananas! Sho is out there targeting our wallets XD
I've been waiting for 2019 Quadruple Axel issue with him as the cover and it was not in vain, I hope they release the cover soon, I'm curious for it.

And thank you Arriba for listing down the programs! I love that it's mostly from All-Japan because it's been an emotional competition for Shoma almost every year. A bit sad that they can't get Stairway but I guess it's because of the copyright issues with the song.

But OMG Tzigane! I wish they could've gotten some more of Young Shoma programs (Blessed Spirits, Steps, and MOI!Bad Boy Good Man / MOI!Tanguera comes to mind) but it's a really good mix.

And the DVD cover art... NHK trophy is such a blessed event for giving us Wreathed!Sho.

Edit to add:

A great thread for anyone outside Japan who wish to purchase the DVD/Bluray by Shomas3A1Lo3F @ Twitter. Especially regarding shipping, bonus goods, and DVD "region codes".

Well, the interview someone posted mentioned that they will incorporate better stretching, so I am glad to hear that, but I keep worrying that with the kind of flexibility he demonstrates his joints are going to suffer. I do not know much about the excersise science and I am just counting on the athletes and coaches to be protective.

But, yes, he is built like something from planet Earth, not grown among the elves in the far reaches of the Galaxy... and it is intergral to his charisma, imo.

I've always wondered if Shoma has hyperextended joints (naturally loose joints). He is also considerably more flexible than his brother (though that may be attributed to his early FS and dance training too), and have that wonderful mobility and beautiful body line on the ice (hyperextended legs make for long lines that look beautiful, esp in dance).

Welp. I'm not usually the kind to splash on a fandom merch (mostly out of fear of cluttering my house) but but but this situation here just take my money already!! XDDD

I'm re-reading and yeah, I agree with you lariko, there's a very earthly and humane quality to Shoma, and imo it is integral to his charisma and presence, especially on-ice. Somehow he comes off as both a classic beauty (in figure skating views) and an unorthodox beauty, because he doesn't necessarily fits the popular view of "grace" and "beauty" in figure skating.

I always wondered if Mrs Uno fell in love with "Winter" thru Lambiel's wonderful skate of it. If so, she was probably thrilled with Sho and Stephane's fabulous ice show collaboration of that song. Yes, the Prince's spins are phenomenal!...I will NEVER forget the spectator (who was a judge) sitting in front of me at Skate Canada who (after Sho's Winter) turned to her friend and said "Now THAT is how you skate a short program!"...Yes, totally agree! :dbana:

Wow XD such high praise from the judge! Yes, I wonder if Mama Uno loves Winter because of past skaters' beautiful renditions of it, when you say Lambiel, Arriba, I also think about Yagudin's Winter. Or maybe because she loves the piece of music itself. Which... I don't blame her, Mama Uno has good taste!

About Shoma's diet and whether or not he takes/needs vitamins/supplements, when I was his age, I had a similar if not worse diet, never touched vitamins or supplements (or fruits or vegetables for that matter), and had zero health problems or nutritional deficiencies. I also outgrew the hatred of vegetables and some of the hatred of fruit in my late twenties. Some people are just lucky that way. Let's hope Shoma is one of them! And I think his height might be a plus when it comes to his diet. Those daily vitamin recommendations and such are for average sized adults, not 158-159 cm shrimpos like Shoma and me!

I was just watching the preOlympic documentary on him, they touch up in the beginning on him filling up on meat, meat and more meat & ignoring salads. It will work, it normally gets a person pretty much all the nutrients. Who knew he was a poster child for athletes on primal diets, heh.

A fan animation of Uno brothers, watch it till the end!

p.s. BGM starts from 14" ish

Thank you for sharing, gacchan.
I like her very much.

Itsuki gave clear file folders to his fans in his event.
The front is Uno brother’s photo, and the back is M-san’s Uno brother’s illustration.

When I went to MOI last year, a lady next to me was also Shoma’s fan.
She was lucky she had that clear file folder.
I really envied her.

I also like her illustrations very much.:luv17:

A big thank you to cronopios y famas for all the wonderful posts honoring Shoma during the month of Shomuary. This one is not part of the Shomuary group, but it really made me laugh when I saw it! Better luck next year to the Challenge Cup. Maybe the Prince will be there. Even without Shoma, it seemed like a fun time! #shomatitis

So Shoma is into the keto diet too? Is this the official menu of the Shospital and Shospa?

I think he just loves his steak, he puts away a good one in the clip. Basically, he just says ‘eat meat three times a day’ and jokes that he eats salad once a year. They never really ask him about other carbs. The documentary was making more of a point of ‘he just does what he likes’, rather than an overview of his diet per se, because it was sequenced with him dropping off to sleep in his shoes after he skated etc.

Overall, it pours more water on the mill of ‘Shoma knows what he wants and he goes gets it’

For those of you who don't have access to the competition thread, PM me if you'd like a temporary download link for CBC television's belated coverage of 4CC from this past Saturday, which includes his LP.

Thanks so much - I have been wishing to see the CBC commentary! It's really nice to hear Kurt and Carol's thoughts on Shoma's free skate :luv17:
