I have to agree with Bel I was not crazy about MS as a FS for Shoma, but now I love Shoma's mesmerizing interpretation of MS.

No news from Shoma's camp lately. I suppose since he does not have to travel outside of Japan and buy a ice rink for practice they are keeping it low key. ;)

Bravo Dr. H! Thank you so much for your post on Moonlight Shomata. I was thrilled to death from Day 1 when I heard that was his FS. I never thought about how difficult it would be to skate to it. But I think he has done a masterful job of making the music his own. So glad I got to see him skate it at 4CC.

Abstract:
Shoma came to my salon for facing shaving after practice. I asked him to sign on the Turandot-Duffy that I received from a customer. I was planning to take a video while Shoma's signing on it...turned out only a out of focus photo was saved in my mobile...

*It seems that a customer asked Jolie mama which of Shoma's costume she likes and Jolie mama said blue turandot one. Later on she received that Turandot-Duffy as present. ^^

Not gonna lie, everytime I read one of these Shoma's 'face shaving' episode, I imagine him coming in with a faceful of beard and then laugh my head off...
(He doesn't seem like he has/grows facial hair, but imagining him with is still pretty darn weird :laugh:)

and aaaah that little Turandot Duffy! I want one XDD

Finally the Olympic Channel video!! (Or a preview...) :clap::clap: :clap: Can't wait to see the whole thing. I have to admit that just the thought of a quintuple jump causes a cold sweat for me :dance2:

Given how high the rate of trauma is in the sport, and how little the extra revolution adds to the viewing experience, i’d rather see the emphasis shift to something else tbh, though it is more advantageous for the perceived fairness of judging.

Yeeeey! The long awaited Olympic Channel interview! I'm not worried that Shoma intends to do quintuples. I think the interviewer just used that as an opener and tagline for what's possible and threw it in there as a question to ask Shoma. Shoma will probably say, "I think it's possible, but I have no intention of trying it until someone else does it." Sort of like his answer to that yet elusive fully rotated competition 4A. I'm not worried... yet.

They did a pretty good job on the teaser! He looks so cool.
