Hope I can get up in time to see the men's sp especially from Misha to Nathan. Same for the Friday LP.
With everyone trying new things, this should be very nerve wracking. But, Go Shoma!! I hope Stepen has hair left after this week.

These times are gonna be a little rough with things starting at 1 and 2 am for me. Ah well, it's a choice! It's fun to watch live, but with my streaming service, I can see it on replay...Hopefully Stepen survives the competition.
Is there a way to watch the Gala in the US without getting a VPN? Since Shoma was not in the Gala at the Worlds, I didn’t bother finding a way to watch it. But I’d like to watch the WTT gala. I'm in the East but not setting any alarms to watch at those early am hours. 5:35 am is bad enough but with MK's sp starting about 5:50 I can make coffee and watch as both days the men start around the same time. Photos from today's practice! Shoma will be wearing the blue Grespi costume for the SP.
Shoma had a better SP run-through this morning; stepping out of his 4F but landed both 4T3T and 3A.
He also landed a 4F3T outside of run-through.
The time zone is friendly for me but I will be watching while working (from home of course)

Yeah, he was smiling at the end, though. Don't know what's up except to say he seems like he was peaking for Worlds and then WTT meant lots of revving back up and new boots and quarantine. It's a lot. Last day for DOMO tomorrow. Keep smiling, Shoma!Well. That was.... rough, to say the least. I'm both a bit mad and also sad because I know his boots are not in ideal condition but also, he was doing not that badly in the morning practice
Better here than Worlds but still. Deep sigh.

Right, last day for DOMO. He won’t dance on his own though, his fans will dance with him.
He should hire a double to break in the boots for him
. I wonder, why don’t they use two pairs of boots in parallel, starting maybe a few weeks apart? Is each pair so different that they can train only on one pair at the time? He did mention in a video that custom-made boots didn’t work for him.His smile is priceless! Watching him glide on ice is so... I’m not sure how to describe the feeling. He belongs on ice. I feel bad that he has to train so hard to stay in the top tier, but he brings a lot of joy to his fans.

He is special and everyone has days that are not optimum. Can't blame him totally about the boots b/c I think the WTT pick was a surprise since Yuma took silver at Worlds. Not unreasonable to think that. He was wise to work on his transitions and SS while breaking in his new boots b/c it did help an underwhelming tech score (his PCS was 6th today).Right, last day for DOMO. going for a layout he knows well given his boot problems could be wiser but I still selfishly want to see the 3A4T. Landing that would be historic. I could understand either decision.

Yuzu had some nice words to say about his seeing Shoma struggle before he went on the ice and he tried to carry him in spirit to lift him. He was pretty spectacular. Thought that was a nice moment. Hard to say if Shoma will try to 3A4T now so I will be watching whatever he gives us.

A while back, there was a very interesting thread in The Edge that addressed this issue about why they don't break in several pairs of boots at a time. Actually I found the entire thread quite interesting.
