There's no way his "for real" costume would be ready this early. That still gives us something more to look forward to! Hooray!

Well, it's a start. Not disappointed in any of it as this will be unrecognizable probably before he competes it.

He's happy to be in front of a home audience with new stuff and he's smiling and being himself.

There's a purple velvet Ladies in Lavender costume out there somewhere that didn't get its due, so, yeah, he's not finished with his look.

I saw a photo of Yuzu in the show he's in with Shoma and his Prince number was white. I think. I'm just overwhelmed by this sudden influx of news from Shoma it's almost like a concussion.

That previous drawing is of Yuzu but I can see the similarities to Shoma's new costume.

I'm glad Shoma can give his fans some good news to share and admire him for. When we get starfish endings, he's just a happy camper.

Ah, an in-person report. I heard from our friend Kanna -- I think some of you will remember her. She was in the lottery for SOI tickets and managed to get a front row seat!!! She said Sholero is a really nice program. He did lots of jumps and there are many stylish movements and poses. At the end he was very tired and was lying on the ice right in front of her. She says the costume is beautiful and very glittery as he moves on the ice. She will be there tomorrow too and has a great seat again....I'm not TOO jealous!

Thanks for that report, Arriba! I'm happy today. The shoulders on the costume are matador-like and the embroidery on the side of the pants is epic. If it was red he would look like a matador and I'm not too sure about that.
It's pretty remarkable the turnaround in just a week. No wonder he was a little aggravated that he was not prepared for WTT. He was working on this program all along! Yay!!!
I'm a little jealous that you know someone who was there and sent you a report but am soooooo happy for you that you have that and thanks for sharing!

Interesting choice of photos for Sho for the SOI web site! Is he trying to tell us something or just giving us nostalgia pains with his white Loco costume?! I always loved this costume!

This white one looks more like what the singer wore in music video excerpt(?), though not as elaborate or fluffy lol. I really like it, though I'm kinda scared of a vocal version of Bolero.

Ah, no English subtitles this time. I’ll have to spend a couple of hours drawing kanji with my finger on the phone screen, so I can translate with Google.

I like the costume very much! Very beautiful color! I just hope it is not too heavy. The FS segment is exhausting by definition and having to carry even a little extra weight might have a negative effect. Also extra folds in the material - could they impact a jump if air is trapped during the rotation? When I watch the videos of him practicing jumps with that green jacket with a hood, I always think that the hood might catch the air like a sail and unbalance him. At least I’m happy he doesn’t wear shirts with wide sleeves or else he may jump in the Land of Oz.

I have a Chinese keyboard on my iPhone:

It is quite forgiving in terms of stroke order and my success rate has increased over time. I think only a couple of times I was not able to get to the kanji that I wanted it. Sometimes I select the character that looks the closest, then I go to imiwa? App and I look for “similar kanji.” But if it is a Chinese character that is not also a kanji, imiwa? doesn’t recognize it. imiwa? App also has a little animation with the stroke order and if I learn it for a similar kanji, I can then extrapolate to the kanji that I need.

For the kana I use the Japanese keyboard:
日本語ローマ字.
Sometimes, if I know how the kanji is pronounced, I use the Japanese keyboard and I can find it among the kanji proposed.

I don’t know if the link below will work, but I think this is the Bolero version Shoma is using. Ravel yes, but arranged by a well-known Japanese composer/arranger. This is not your gramma’s Bolero. Very exciting.
