This deep blue is Tommy Hilfiger? So nice. Yes, he can share his shirts with Itsuki. I would love to see his wardrobes!😂

Btw, he gets his hair dye in mesh pattern?

I feel he is good at writing. Funny to add that he dislikes insects!

I'm so glad he finished his all shows this summer with so much fulfilment.😄.

I hate to even mention it [[:laugh2:]], but did we ever figure out if he dyes his hair black?! The mesh puts streaks or highlights of color? Lately something looks different and I can't quite figure it out -- a lump of hair wax? curly-haired Shoma? I think it looks really good.

I looked up pictures of those beetles and then read that people keep them as pets. Oh dear! :eeking: :noshake: No wonder Shoma doesn't like them.

So glad the shows were a good experience for Shoma. It was fun to see Shae Lynne and Irina Slutskaya. Can't wait to see his programs on a full-size rink. Counting the days to Lombardia!

:cool14: Shoma the Dolphin -- love it! And while I was watching this, I said "Hey wait a minute, that's the U.S.!" Sure enough, at :19, he is in the parking lot of the rink Center Ice of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois -- another place where I believe Coach Alex coaches. Darn, why did I have to be out of the country while he was here?! Still can't believe he was training about 15 minutes from my house! The GLENBARD HOCKEY sign on the wall is from one of our local high schools. Grrrrr! :curse: :hslap:

What is he saying in the pool? He doesn't exactly seem too thrilled that he's being filmed. Poor thing! The price of fame! :luv17:

Lombardia -- Beautiful costume for Shoma! Gorgeous sparkly lavender shirt with just (shock!) a small V and dark purple, velvety pants (no bling?!)

He said that it’s (physically) draining and it’s only the 2nd day. After that, he said that the 3 weeks spent there was physically and mentally fulfilling.

Shoma’s SP at Lombardia Trophy.

A new shirt! I like that the V is not so deep.

I already posted this on the TJ thread, but Shoma with Wakaba and Kanako.

The same journalist tweeted this too but too bad he fell.
Btw Shoma was repeating 4F, 4F and after 4F. He looks like he is in good shape.

His jumps are still scary looking. Can Coach Alex please adopt him?

Hi, dear arriba!

I feel he still has the need to reduce hair wax! Too glossy! He's young, and a lot of wax like that makes him look older! But curry hairs are so cute!

Shoma says he had a wonderful time with group number at friends! 😃the works with great retired skaters must have brought many fruits to him!

If he would buy Tommy Hilfiger in us, he would have to get childlen size!

The video of sp comes! I find this pants elegant! How do you feel about the program?

Thanks Mikaboo! I'm glad shoma is fine!

Yes, I'm afraid I may not see big improvement with his jumps...

I thought he was in Japan when he was in the pool when I heard him speaking Japanese!

He'll do better on the jumps. They looked a little ragged. Darn, no blur spin!...Wonder if he'll come a few days early to the U.S. and work with Alex before Skate America.

it's so early in the season. I'd be very worried if he did too well here. His 3A is now his best jump. Who would have thought?

Missing you Hamaguri! :sad4: Good to "see" you...At yesterday's practice, it looked like Shoma had the messy/no hair wax look. Maybe it looked better! Thought he maybe had left the hair wax at home! :luv17: The costume is beautiful. Pretty surprising that it's only a small V!

Program was ok for a first outing. I was watching it live at 7:45 am our time. I am CRAZY about the music. I know everyone in Japan says "Oh no, Ladies in Lavender". True confessions -- When I heard he was skating to L. in L., I knew the movie but didn't know what the music was. So, I am not bored with it, nor do I consider it a war horse. I always feel that no particular person owns any song! I'm weird like that! The only American I can find who ever skated to that music was Karen Chen.

Darn, I want the blur spin to be his final spin! Maybe he'll do it at Skate America. He still has work to do before SA, but the program looked very polished in comparison to most of the other skaters....Loved Mihoko sensei's fedora look. Looks like she got that from Frank Carroll. :luv17:

Missed you too hamaguri! I thought you must have moved to Europe and getting settled in or something.

Looks like his 4F was rotated so it really is a shame he didn't land it.

But as Specs says, I'd probably be worried if he did do well here.

Thinking positively, compared to his Challenger SP skate last year (in the U.S.), he certainly did better! Wasn't last year's something like 58.35[[:jaw:]] ? 86.68 is a bit better!

Good skate for Shoma. A little rough around the edges but it is early. Most of the men had mistakes.
Gorgeous footwork and interpretation, so effortless!

Good luck with the free skate!:cheer:
His LP is very engaging, lots of potential in there. Hope there will be no major mistakes. Go Shoma!

Hello!
I am a new member of this forum and this is my first post.
I have only been a fan of figure skating since I moved to Japan and had my first proper exposure to the sport in 2013-14 season (in my country literally only football has any exposure) so I'm still learning and i hope to do so more in this forum :)
I really, really like Shoma-kun a huge lot and his free just now at Lombardia Trophy was amazing! People seem to dislike the music but I grew up listening to Piazzolla so I do enjoy it. Actually I think he really interprets this music so well!
I will see him live for the first time at Japan Open this October and I'm so excited.
Sorry for the lengthy first post!

Welcome to the Golden Skate. Post often!

Congrats Shoma on winning Lombardia! Even though it wasn't perfect, I hope this marks the start of a great season for him
