Shoma and Yuma will have the medal ceremony for the Team Event too tonight at 9PM Local Time. Hoping that they will be able to attend with their teammates, and I'm glad if they do they will do it after skating clean and cleanish Short Programs today!

Gosh, Yuzuru shook me--I'm glad Shoma kept himself collected! And got that 3T (he seems to have been working on it really hard, from practice reports)!!

Now, it would only take a little more than his Nationals free program score (when he had one fall and missed a combo) to go over 300 total...! Go, go, go! :hap10:

Sigh... just gotten the announcement that the Team Event medal ceremony is postponed...

It was a hard lesson to experience, but Shoma learned the hard way how important it is to have a great coach at your side. Love their connection and the sense of calm Stepen brings to the competitions. Sniff, why am I getting emotional looking at this video clip? :ghug::dbana::console:

Stepen had a good Oly skate too! I often wonder if he gets as nervous (or more nervous!) than Shoma.

I am absolutely delighted for Shoma and doing the quad- triple is what we have waited for for a while now. Very happy for Yuma, too. Don't count out Yuzu. His back is against the wall but I hope Shoyuma can give him encouragement so Team Japan collectively shine.

I hope they postponed the medal ceremony until after the men FS, so we dont have another case of rogue positive like what happened to Vincent.

Sho had a pretty good practice. Never saw him at the practice because the camera focused only on Nathan. Per rockerskating:
