So wonderful to have some new people here! Welcome to our 🎢 Shollercoaster ride. You've picked a great time to join us, although any time is a good time to become a fan of Shoma. It's almost time to obsess about ice shows, costumes, new programs, GP assignments, the Uno puppies, etc. Oh no, you're reading all the old posts! :drama: :slink: (pause--quickly checks her last 4,000 posts).

We've all been through a lot of good times and some sad times together here (mostly good!). But hopefully what comes through in all of it is how much we love Shoma. We don't put him on a pedestal and expect him to be perfect. In fact part of what is so fun about him is that he is so relatable in so many ways. His extraordinary talent and musicality, athleticism, and passion make him such a special skater...Post often and never give up on being able to see him. You never know what will happen. He is really exciting live and always an audience favorite!
Thank you Arriba627!
Yes, it will took a lot of time to read all the posts, but I already learned a lot of stuff reading them, so I'll continue...

Have you already seen the schedule of the challenge series for 2022-2023? I guess it's too early to know if and where he'll attend some of these competitions... Btw, I saw that Lombardia Trophy has been confirmed to be in Bergamo, which is my city. So I hope Shoma will come here (only a few hours from Switzerland)

Yes, yes, I am reading old posts, especially yours! as your posts are especially valuable to me as their are of a native speakers and also they are so passionate and interesting to read!

I watched both programs, i.e. also Grespi which was his short program.
I thought it is called Great Spirit? Wait a minute, are you Dutch? The author of that track is from the Netherlands as well, forgot his name, he is a a Dutch DJ. Are the lyrics of the track in Dutch?
Yes, I remember seeing - across the rink - one volunteer girl falling. So, it's all real what you see in the videos.
I found it very amusing ))

Allow me to welcome new posters VeraS and Alexandra_P84 to the nail biting academy that is Shoma Uno fandom. You've come after an especially trying two year period of ups and downs (this year, mostly ups) with the Grand Prix, Nationals, the Olympics and WC, but we've pretty much decided it's time to move on to 22-23 season and new programs, shows and our favorite topics-Soma interacting with the 4 lovely puppies and what Shoma is wearing. (Programs and choreographers will come soon). I haven't seen him live but that hasn't stopped me from following his career right here since the 2018 Olympics.

I ;pve animals but I find those puppy videos extremely boring to be honest (( I wish Shoma started posting proper videos on his Youtube channel again
Oh I love the puppies, and I love seeing what is going on in the Uno household. It's fun to see their house!

We'll see what happens with the Challengers. Last season, the Japan Skating Federation didn't allow any of their skaters to participate in the Challenger events (due to Covid, if I remember correctly). They have to assign him to it. He actually did Lombardia so many times (3 times) that we thought they should change the name to Shombardia. He did Finlandia one season too...Speaking of Finland, they have been very vocal about wanting to do a Grand Prix event. It will be interesting to see if Finland DOES get it. Other talk is for South Korea.

That close up photo I posted of Shoma was in 2017 when he came to the Chicago area to perform in Glacier Ice Arena's annual ice show. He did a little bit of training while here, but not too much.

Because some Shoma fans cannot see some social media platforms, if you have any photos you took of Shoma, you might post them here directly using that little square icon in the tool bar that looks like a moon over mountains.

After clicking on it, just pick the up arrow tab and drag and drop your photo into the rectangle.

I would hate for any fan to have to do without photos :thank: to all who help out.

I am sorry but Twitter, Instagram and Facebook are blocked in Russia, so if you post any links to those I wont be able to see anything
What about imgur? I can't (or don't know how to) do the drag+drop thing on the phone like how Doris suggested, so I'll just post pics the old school way.

Here's Arriba's sexy arm, on some random guy at the rink.

Be patient. When the ice shows start up soon again, there will be video of his programs and as he trains his new programs, that will be highlighted as well. When Shoma returns home from his travels, seeing the pups give him a very warm and wiggly welcome home is part of the charm. This is a guy who did not like dogs or animals AT ALL until Toro came on board and look at him now. I like seeing people's homes, too, so added bonus. Except for Mariah Bell who used to post from her apt in CA with her boyfriend, seeing their home life is rare and isn't always interesting but sometimes it is!
There are two Uno channels so you'll see more than his home life on his manager controlled site, especially if he does a 'learning English' session.

Oh my God, thank you very much!!!!
Arriba, but why only your arm is captured on that pic? ))) Why not all of you? And what kind of picture is it? IS it a selfie? Did he recognize you? I mean did he realise that he saw you before? Was he able to communicate in ENglish at all? So many questions i know but I am curious )

I am afraid he will never post proper videos on his channel (( he seems to have neglected it (( The English learning videos are just awesome ) I can relate to those as I am myself working on my English ) But I think they are all made in a humorous way on purpose ))
As to his brothers videos, yes it is nice to see their house, which seems to be a very big house, I have an impression it is a three-storey house, and it is nice to see Shoma in them but other that that it is all the same, just puppies playing.

Thank you very much for being so considerate towards me as I seem to be the only fan on this thread not being able to see those social media platforms )

Yes, I agree his brothers videos at least give us a glimpse to how Shoma is doing and what is new in his life, but like I sadi I would just prefer to watch proper videos on his channel, they were much more informative and interesting
