Is Shoma's hair really naturally curly? I was thinking it's so straight! Also do you think that is his natural hair color? I remember all those younger photos of him where his hair was brown.

Gotta love Johnny and Stephane. They remind me that I haven't had a facial in awhile! They're so funny.

Ah, if she was from THE Honda family, I think she'd be more famous! And I kind of laugh at my post, Honda is a common surname at 130th
But to be fair, my surname is between 5000th and 6000th. And to keep this post on topic, Uno is at 379th

You all know a lot about names! I didn't think anyone had my surname until I saw a phone book in Berlin. (I am American of German descent.) There were pages and pages of people with my name...Never heard of UNO as a Japanese name!

still i wonder if his current curly and black hairs are natural.http://i0.wp.com/geisposoul.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/IMG_8887.jp

on a different note, the reputation of the new fs is so high! it already felt his own world and matured. especially he could get the jumps well yesterday so he smiled after that, although the performance that will be aired today is not yesterday's!

Oh darn - I can't open the photo...It seemed that as he got older his hair got darker. I don't know. His hair looks good though. I know many men who would kill to have his hair!!!

Hope we see the fs soon. It's a shame that they can't broadcast the best of the 3 performances. It sounds like the program is being very well received. Now if we can just see the short program too and see if we guessed right on the purple deep V!

oops! i deleted the part by mistake and now i fixed it. in his childhood, surely his hairs looks brown and straight. but i dont see shoma is a person who cares his hairs for his apperence. the changes is mysterious!

about his fs costume, red deep v as well as racy and transparent outfit is a topic! :laugh2:
lets see if his sp costume is purple deep v!

further, music arrangement sounds unique and very cool not to mention that silent 3a at the switch of pieces. the way to put the melody is so impressive.

Seems like Shoma's father had brown hair in that old, old video of him. I guess it is possible for hair color to change. Mine was very blond when I was a little girl and gradually got darker and darker.

If the skaters only knew how much we fuss over their costumes, they would probably think we are crazy. And somehow the words racy and Shoma in the same sentence is pretty funny!
I'm glad the FS is going well for him, because I think that will be the most challenging of the two programs. Seems like the SP is similar to some other stuff he has done. I have such high hopes for him for this season...I hope someone can post a video of the fs.

I remember the first time I saw this costume at Skate America, my first thought was "What?!" But looking back, I think his team was very smart! How many skaters had green costumes?!
I think they were purposely saying "Here is someone who is different!", and we found out very quickly (through his skating) how different he was! The tendency with American men (and others) lately seems to be that they are wearing ugly T-shirt type tops that seem inappropriate. I can think of two Americans who look like they are ready to go bowling rather than skating! I like that the Japanese men wear something that can really be considered a costume!

I read another tweet yesterday (can't find it now) that said it was announced after yesterday's show that Friday and Saturday's shows will be broadcasted. But people who were there on both days said they didn't see any TV cameras on Saturday so we'll just have to wait and see. And I'm praying towards Hokkaido for someone to upload videos!

I don't know why, but Shoma is talking about Disney on Ice here.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4edv2l_doi番宣-宇野選手インタ部分_sport

He skated at an opening performance of Disney on Ice when he was little. The rink was smaller than he thought so he accidentally jumped out of the rink.

Asked when he first started doing the Cantilever, he says that it was probably in elementary school, he couldn't do it at first but got it as he became stronger.

Shoma mentioned before;
He admired Tadayosi Maekawa:前川忠儀. He used to belong to the same club(Grandprix Tokai Club).
Shoma mentioned that Maekawa's performance is so cool!:agree:

Thank you for the videos! I've never heard of Tadayoshi Maekawa before. I'll look him up.
I'm afraid nicovideos are too heavy for my poor old laptop right now but I'll find a way to watch them later :)
