Seriously, I don't know how Shoma can do this stuff at the end of a long hard day. In this first video, he's holding something that looks like a tire, and I think it was pretty heavy!

At one point, he had him doing some drills on one foot that were so hard that all of a sudden you heard this little voice say in perfect English "Oh my God!" I think he was really hurting.

Oh my, that really sounds like it's tough :sad4:, but I'm glad Shoma continues to work hard and push himself endlessly (hopefully in a healthy way!)

It sounds like he really worked hard with Alex. I hope he is happy with the work he has done. It is nice that his whole family could travel with him. With them around he can focus on his work and let everyone else take care of everything else.
I think " oh my God " is one of the first English phrases people learn... I always remember yuzu saying it repeatedly when he learned he won in sochi. I thought, what? You know that? I think it shows how often we native speakers say it all the time without even noticing, lol.

The suspense about Canada is killing me! I can only think of choreography and training facilities. And he can't spend too much time because he's skating in an ice show on the 13th, so he probably has to be back for rehearsals a couple days before that. What a crazy schedule!
I'm going to teach him how to say Oh my gosh (or goodness) instead of Oh my god.

It's always fun to see the photos, comments, etc. posted by skaters when he visits their rinks. Everyone seems to say "Look who was here!" and / or "Holy cra*!" But darn, still doesn't answer the question of with whom he was working and what was he doing. YRSA looks like a nice rink.

I love the way this young lady writes "he is soooo good". I almost forget how good he is until I see him on the ice with junior and novice skaters. They are all good for their levels, but the quality of what he does is SO far ahead of them. Quick -- fly home Shoma! You have an ice show Friday!

I wish some of those people who took photos would post what he was doing there! Was he on the ice, who was he with etc... a general idea would be nice!
I would be so surprised if I walked into my rink and saw Shoma right in front of me too!! I would not believe it.
No, Toronto is not cold right now!! It was, but now it is above 0C and it will be warmer than normal for the next couple of weeks.
ETA: cold for me is -5C and lower, lol!

Thank you thank you for your all reports! Im glad to know he has the certain family tie and meeting up Gracie must have been inspirational to him. I went to nhk cup and saw Gracie live, and I dont remember other things than her beauty... she was just beautiful! No wonder shoma's mom couldnt take her eyes off...

Waaaaah! I have to admit, I was a little depressed on Monday. I was getting spoiled starting everyday looking at his little face! 
BTW, hope you noticed the "thigh killer" drill he was doing with Vladimir in Post #2765. I figured you might like that one, and I think our B ESP boys would probably enjoy that drill! :eeking:

Because Besp guys keep talking about them and don't get me wrong, I think he has really lovely thighs (and really lovely rest of his person too) but i never thought they were like "huge" or particularly "impressive" like those guys describe them.

He does have some very interesting assets. I think I read he has 10% body fat (which is really LOW), and I know where at least 8% of it is! I think the purple pants are what show his legs, etc. For how small his upper body is, he really does have very big legs. I can remember at least 3 occasions where our B ESP friends mentioned his thighs. I was thinking for this year's purple pants they may have used the same pattern they used for the green velvet leprechaun pants last year, and he may have grown a little bit from last year. https://www.instagram.com/p/BNxyif6ARW8 Someone on GS was saying his costume doesn't fit him!

Gracie looked really lovely - even when she wasn't wearing any makeup. She's really a sweetheart...Are you referring to Shoma's speed and is it fast or slow? He looked pretty fast to me. All the days I saw him, he looked to be in good spirits and good condition, except there was one day when they said he was feeling sick and possibly had the beginnings of a cold. The following day though he seemed fine.
