Took me forever to log in on the board. It must be crashing cuz Shoma is in 2nd place. WOOHOO can't wait for details.

SHOMA, I'm so, so proud of you! To be in 2nd after one of the most well skated men's events under COP ever is such a phenomenal feat! :yahoo:

I strongly believe that you can do it again on Saturday! Show 'em who's Numero Uno! :cheer: :rock: (Hope you don't mind me borrowing the very appropriate expression, MaiKatze. ;))

That was sooo good from Shoma. Loved his reaction at the end. Yes, boy, you did it at the most important competition of the year!!! Fluffy was so fun to watch after that!

I am not in love with his sp (although I thought it was beautifully done), but I AM in love with his free program. Go on, Shoma, dance that tango to perfection!!

I think if Shoma is clean in the LP, he will medal with no problem. Which would be GREAT momentum going into next season. :yes:

I can't write anything because (yes, hard to believe) I am still speechless. It was very cool that the audience was already clapping before he went into his final series of spins. I have amnesia right now from nerves. What an amazing grandson I have. I even forgive him that he didn't wear the purple pants. No belly button or boxer briefs showing tonight. Thrilled that he and Fluffy were so happy...Between the men and the pairs. What a day!

I forgive you, that must've been quite a flash!! And our stylish Fluffy, how happy did she look! Am I wrong or did she hug that Lady from the japanese fed that sat with Yuzuru at the Sochi Olympics when Brian Orser was looking after Javier?

I'm just so happy still. I don't really dare to dream of a medal, because the 3 that are behind Shoma are able to beat him, but for now it's a small silver medal and that's just so great. No matter what happens with LOCO we will have this.

I thought the score could've been a tad bit higher, especially in comparison to others, but well...can't have everything.
 
@Arriba so glad you got to experience YOUR GRANDSON Shoma at his best, live. I just watched the video and I am awestruck at what he put out
on the ice today, just brilliant. The audience went crazy too. I went crazy and I am sitting in front of my computer. lol
He looked so happy and proud of himself when he finished I thought he was going to skip across the ice. Off to watch the other
videos.

ETA: Good thing I watched Shoma's video before I left work. All of the men's videos seem to have been taken down.

I think Shoma looks a bit taller in that SP outfit compared to the old one. So maybe that's the reason they changed it (Please, we need the old LOCO costume though)
 
I just re-watched the SP and right at the final spin you can see Daisuke sitting in the background, commenting like the cool dude he is. Japanese media has the best seats reserved it seems. Such a nice gimmick!
