Thanks. This is what I was instantly reminded after MaiKatze depicted Shoma's character. :) Shoma looked so shy and at the same time so adorable - as much cute as the big white and black fluffy dolls. I wish there is a big photo in a clear quality though because I want to use it as my new avatar. :luv17:

I love how he looks like a little elf next to the huge dolls. He almost looks like he's afraid of them! :laugh2: That would make a great avatar!

And at the risk of being SO repetitious (my apologies to those who are in this thread frequently), in case you haven't seen these, Crossover, here are several instances where our British broadcasting friends can't help but talk about how much they appreciate Shoma's various assets.

Thanks. Their commentaries are always delight to hear and when my favorites are the same as theirs, my excitement goes higher. ;)

And please look at my changed avatar! I found gif images from a tumblr dedicated to Shoma (thanks to the contributors) and picked one gif and used an still-shot. It is not very a clear image, so some may not recognize Shoma. However, I'm quite content with it. :)

Very cute avatar! Model Shoma in action. Looking awkward and adorable with those mascots, hehe!

Love your Avatar and Love this photo of Shoma!

So, are there any news/pics/videos of the 3rd day at team building camp? hoping both shoma and yuzu are there so that you guys could post it here and that I could get the news, since a certain treasure thread was unjustly closed. don't worry this leeching off will be gone in a short while, hope you guys don't mind my time staying. thanks in advance for any pieces

Shoma was there yesterday but I think Yuzu was only there for the first day. I've sent you a PM so as to keep any of that drama out of here.

The tickets for the Glacier Ice show will go on sale this Monday. I will be there bright and early buying mine! So happy that he agreed to participate in their show! :points: Already I am wondering what program he will skate and if he will skate more than once. Also since he supposedly needs a month to learn the group number choreography {{:luv17:}}. , maybe they should send him a video of the choreography. I would assume he will be in the group numbers. They'll probably have him come out and do his cantilever move.

Do you know if the tickets will be sold over the phone or just in person? I feel like this might be my best chance to see him live (unless he's at Skate America this year), but am in Dallas so I can't go buy them in person.

You can see how to buy tickets at www.glacierskate.com Although if I were you, I'd pray for Skate America or Skate Canada (better yet). SA is a hard place to get to. Last year on the exact dates that SA is scheduled for, Lake Placid had a HUGE snow storm. Skate Canada is easier to get to and less risky for snow. Of course this all depends on what events Shomita gets. The other thing we can hope for is the Challenger event that takes place in Salt Lake City in mid-Sept. I think it's U.S. Classic International. Last year he did Lombardia in Italy, but 2 years ago he did SLC. I have a feeling his Grand Prix events are gonna be France & Moscow, then GPF is in Japan, so it is gonna be a tough year to see the Lavender Prince. Not sure how this small, local ice show will be. Could be a long way to come if he's on the ice for less than 5 minutes.

ETA -- demarinis5 the actual show is June 3, and it shows there are shows at 1 pm and 6 pm.

It's pretty impressive that he's going to be at that show, considering the distance, show schedule, etc.. Does anyone know if he will be in town for training around that time? I hope those going enjoy him there... how lucky!!

Personally, I'd love to see him at SC. He's never competed here... so I"m crossing my fingers...

And LOL at the ping pong :)

Hmmm that's a good point about him probably not skating long at the ice show. I'd love to go for one of the international comps, but travel is so expensive! I'll keep an eye out for the mid-Sep comp you mentioned though. I've not been to a competition in person before and I'd love for him to be skating at my first one 😊

I don't know if this has been shared before, but for the fans of numbers and statistics I found the following post on tumblr by user empresswenjing: A study in consistency. If you click on the picture you get a bigger version.

The pacing this season was really well done. We all were worried about Coupe du Printemps, especially just after AWG but to think that he actually got his season's best and personal bests score's at Worlds is astounding. I'm still a bit worried about him, because the Olympics are another thing. And in February. 4CC was not a disaster but he lost some of his nerves after the beautiful opening quads and blotched the 3A's. I wonder what kind of layout he's going to use next season and if he's increasing difficulty or trying to get to stabilize a layout from the start.

I was a bit worried that he would burnout from competing so much, but I'm glad for him that it turned out to be the right strategy for him. It's hard to say if it's still the best option for the Olympics, but I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed the course.

Let's hope for the SLC comp. That would be awesome. It would be like the Luxembourg comp he did this year where it's a very small venue and you're right up close to the ice. My thought is that it would be great for photos, possibly autographs. We can only hope! Here is the venue. Very informal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyNkHvItWhw This year's dates are Sept. 13-17.

Yes! It came out great! I want to do a pink bow one, but I'm not ready to give up my sleepy head avatar yet! :)
