To be honest I think Shoma is just not used to being on TV like this. I think he did remember very well where the World Championships took place, but was kind of put on the spot with the question, where did he last go abroad....if you look at him in interviews, he tries hard to find the right words a lot, even thinks so long that the interviewer thinks he won't answer. I know it was a fun moment, but I don't think he's REALLY forgetting things like this. I can totally relate to this because I've been in situations in job interviews when I've been asked stuff and the answer should be obvious or simple and I just completely blanked. It's embarassing, but at least I'm not in public in these moments. I think, even the meat thing is blown out of proportion. There are fruits and various other things he can eat, so I do think he's not only living on meat ALL the time.

I don't really think he forgot it, it was just funny. You can see he's a little bit nervous because he's fidgeting his hands. But he's improved a lot on interviews. Can you imagine Shoma from Kenji interviews doing a show like this? :noshake: :)

Ah, no I didn't mean your post, Bel. I know we all love Shoma here, but...there are reasons why I wrote this...I'm just feeling protective, I guess....

Here is a link to Gutto Sports of 4th of July with Shoma on Dailymotion, for those who couldn't watch it live.

Figure Skating is expensive...I'm glad Toyota is supporting Shoma now.

Thanks for the link! Now if we only could get someone (cantilover?) to translate the whole thing again.... :bow:

Also a massive thanks to all of you who have already translated some bits! :thank: My japanese is not very good, so without you I wouldn't understand almost anything.

I wonder exactly when this show was filmed. He travels so much that I was remembering Helsinki in March, Chicago in June, Canada in June? July?, all the cities for the ice shows, and other places we probably don't even know about. Hopefully mom and his manager are keeping this all straight! It wouldn't surprise me if he couldn't remember. But then we get to see one of his wonderful head tilts if he can't remember, so all is well! :clap:

Many times I feel he is choosing his words VERY carefully. Then when I see the translation, I see he was being asked something about one of his competitors or something that is a sensitive subject. I always feel like he's trying to be truthful and yet still be humble and not offensive. Sometimes that requires a head tilt.

Since they LOVE to show him eating,I know we've seen him eating salad, lobster in Boston, and he recently said he likes yogurt - so I do think he eats other stuff. I wondered if at the Rostelecom banquet they were eating borscht when he said, "Mmm. This contains all the stuff I hate."

For TV shows like this they always focus on quirks or little tidbits about a person, to make it more 'interesting'. I'm sure Shoma isn't the biggest fan of vegetables and avoids them, if possible, but there are other ways to get his vitamins. :)

@Arriba627, I guess it's filmed on the same day of taking "The Steps Towards His Dreams" as his clothes're same, no❓just guessing 😁

Sorry, slightly :otopic:, but has anyone seen a list of which skaters are going where for the Challenger events? I know the Winter-Lavender Prince has Lombardia, but I was wondering about Taka and Keiji and others too. Thx.

@Latremu, thanks😀💪
@Arriba627, what I only know..
Keiji. Asian Open Aug, Slovakian Sep
Mura. US international Sep
Yuzu. CAN Autumn classic Sep

Dreams on Ice in Yokohama is upon us. I wonder what Shoma will skate to.

Will he debut Turandot here, I wonder. When is the start time again, so that I know when to begin my twitter stalking?
