yeah many fans wait for Daisuke, so I didn' expect, just texting my friend, then Shoma show up. his smile's always like sunshine..

Glad you had a good time at the show and spoke with Shomita, how exciting for you!

I understand that Uncle Dai is skating to "Marnie" how was his performance?

thanks, Demarinis5, Daisuke's still skating great, that's why he has many fans. btw Shomita looked tired today when I went today's evening show, cuz he does Winter&Turandot in each show plus OP&Finale. Today, Winter's so-so, but Turandot's great. Yesterday's much better. of course he must be tired.
Will go tomorrow both shows. kinda long day. will report soon.

Yeah, I can't believe he's actually skating a full SP and FS with multiple quads on the same day, through consecutive days, plus opening and finale. I'm tired just thinking about it.

But it's good stamina training, as if it's runthrough practice days and it's a useful experience for the Olympics because of the consecutive SP/FS days and the short rest the men will have there.

Just... take a few good naps after FOI, please, Shoma.

Just saw the following info posted by sheetz (in the Nathan thread). Sounds like this will be a fun interview!

Some early reports on the Nathan/Shoma interview. They talk about their time in juniors, competing against each other in seniors, quads, and their hobbies. There's also mention of the dinner with Ashley and the others after WTT.

Sooo... someone correct me if I'm wrong. Based on what Kanna said as well as some information I read, FOI is 2 shows/day (lunch and evening performance) x 3 days (August 25-27). Was Shoma skating in the opening, finale, plus both his SP and FS, for each of those shows? Meaning he was supposed to skate both programs and the opening and finale 6 times in 3 days? :eeking:

Apparently he did not skate in the first half today (Kanna can confirm I guess) because he had leg discomfort. It's no wonder, if that was how crazy his schedule really was! :dbana: I really hope he got some rest today!

Looking forward to the Shoma-Nathan interview article!

I thought he did the SP in one show and the FS on the other, not both SP and FS in each show, which would make it 4 performances plus opening and finale per day. That'd be too much! Right?

Yeah I read the tweets about this. Today is the last day, though. Hope he has a good rest after. I don't think he has stopped since the summer show season began.

finally Shoma realized something wrong on his foot, cancelled Winter today's show. Morning show, lunch time show?, he did Turandot but at evening show he did only a part of Turandot, no quad. ah...that's why...need rest...
I went four shows, so saw best one on Fri, but the thing's how hard it is...😭

Hi Kanna! Just wanted to confirm... So on Friday he did both Winter and Turandot in the same show?

I'm starting to think he does do both SP and FS per show.... twice a day. :dbana:

I think he pushed himself a little too hard. Imagine, the SP and FS has a total of 7 quads planned in them. Was he really planning to do 7 quads/show x 2 shows/day x 3 days = 42 quads over 3 days?? Facepalm to Shomita. (No emoticons on the phone!)

I hope he gets loads of rest before his first competition. No more ice shows for now, please!

Plus account for the rehearsals too....

Latremu, agreed. he did too much. Finished six days of 'The Ice', on Aug 8 he's flying to IL for trainings, came back on 20th, then handled with 'FOI'. that's too much...

Busy schedule! Too busy. I hope he's fine. Lombardia Trophy is less than 3 weeks away. He needs a nice fluffy bed and uninterrupted sleep for a few days!

I hope his injury is not too serious and he recovers quickly... Just looking at his off-season schedule made me cringe with worry, and I unfortunately turned out to be right...

Is there any other eligible skater who has performed as much as Shoma has this off season? I understand he likes to be out there and it helps keep him sharp, helps endurance etc., but the body does need to rest... even at 19!! Rest, boy... the season will be long and difficult as it is.

Turandot medley yesterday, I guess they took pity on him and asked the other skaters, like Shizuka (who skated Turandot in 2006 when she won the Olympics), to skate with him. I'm liking the costume more now.

Am I the only one amused that at the start of the clip, they have his face beside Floyd Mayweather's?
