Yey, thanks! I don't know if I can go (wah, real-life obligations are such obstacles), but thanks for the information!! Apparently it's first come first serve for foreigners. Are they repeating the lottery now for the Japanese, if some people decide to not go to the event even if they got in by lottery?

Good for you Latremu! How's the page for foreigners? Not lottery? Is it possible to choose the seat? many vacancy? Really I can't open it with a caution message...

If GPF tickets are not sold out fully, probably there'll be a quick notice for re-selling those a few days prior. When I went WTT in Apr, I bought the tickets in that way, suddenly the official web showed info. Or in the morning they sell those in the arena as some iceshows take that way? umm..I don't like lottery style..
 
Hi everyone 5 days until IDF, so excited
I know it's indirectly connected to Shoma but I wasn't expected this kind of level of bashing during olympic year (this is my first one)
last week it was about P/C, two days ago silly story about Tessa Virtue and now some people are saying how unfair it is that Shoma is training a week before IDF in Grenoble and how Toyota is somehow buyin GPF for him.
This is a though time to follow figure skating.... sorry for the off topic.

:console: Things can get insane. I try to filter most of it but it's not always possible. I recommend using the ignore list, it's great!

Calm down and relax and it's probably the best only to read the Shoma friendly FanFest during this time. It will be extremely rough, and a lot of ridicule and bashing will come Shoma's way. I don't think it's because of the Olympic Season though. It's hard to see your favourite skater lose his standing because younger people are appearing and claiming their spot at the top. It's what I learned during my time here, that the bashing usually comes from a place of wanting to protect your favourite and that means discredit the rivals. Being blind to their strength and only see the worse in them, because they can never compare. I hope Nathan and Shoma don't listen to these voices. They represent the current generation in figure skating and for some it's just simply hard to let go. I do understand that to a certain degree, you have your favourites you cheered for year after a year and now some newbie takes that away. Often I find myself watching competitions, thinking, Daisuke could've won this easily. He's away for an entire Olympic cycle now and I still miss him. Sure I have my favourites, but I think it just makes these people appear weak if they say things like "Toyota bought GPF" before the competition even happens. And if Nathan Chen wins? Or someone unexpected? They don't even know. And that Shoma is in Grenoble one week in advance is something that every other skater can do as well. I don't doubt that the federation pays for it, because the french only pay for the days of the competition. But Shoma has bad experiences with jetlag and this is his career. If the fed or his sponsors pay for it, why not go earlier? If the others do not do this, it's not his fault.

Ah, so happy! Not many people follows figure skating here, but to my pleasant surprise one of my juniors is actually a Yuzu fan! Imagine my surprise lol. So I'm always happy when finding fellow SEA figure skating fan

Trust me, this is going to go on and on like, forever. Since following him, I've seen tons of this kind of theories. From the JSF favoring him, to all the fuss they made over the smallest thing.

My advice will be to ignore them. And if you ever find yourself on doubt, try to talk to someone you think is rational enough to get the fact straight. Everyone I know on Twitter are doing the same; opening small discussion on this subject. It's good to see perspective, get the fact straight, and not being mislead by the mainstream opinion.

Do you plan to attend the Gala? At NHK Sergei Voronov almost took a bath in the audience and Shoma wasn't shy in SC either, so maybe you have a chance to ruffle his hair! (just kidding, obviously)

Welcome Jenni. We are all jealous! If you can give us some reports of the action, that would be great! Oooh! I want to go too! :sad4: From those Facebook postings, the arena looks very small. That will be great for seeing the Prince close up! I think you will be surprised by how small he is but how big he skates. Have fun!

Yikes! Yesterday there were still seats, I waited one day to rearrange my schedules,
now it's sold out! Crazy. But no lottery, it's first come first serve (and now there's none!).

Welcome Jennie! Enjoy the competition in Grenoble! I hope you get to take a selfie with him, so many people got to do that in Lombardia and Regina. Pictures!

Karyi, here's the response yawning_shoma had to someone who kept insisting that the truth was being hidden and Shoma was getting an advantage in practicing in the rink, when the point was that yes, he's practicing in it, no, he didn't rent it, he just got there early. There are lots of silly and nasty people out there, the Olympic season just makes it worse (I sort of wish we didn't have an Olympic season, the tension is just too high and most of the programs are ho-hum. Gosh, I miss Loco). Just laugh them off and ignore them. They're not worth your time.

Why is it suddenly sold out? I hope you can get a ticket somehow. Would be a shame to miss this! And did you guys see the wonderful photos of Kiss&Cry magazine? I'm tempted to order it! :luv17:
 
I can't help but laugh as I imagine Shoma in France picking up a phone, calling the rink, and saying (in English) "Hi, I'd like to rent the rink." :laugh2: He has a manager who arranges everything for him. Would his manager do anything that would jeopardize his being able to participate in his Grand Prix event? I highly doubt it. I'm sure anything and everything he is doing is 100% approved. Also Her Royal Fluffiness is there with him. She is an expert on logistics, etc. I'm sure anyone else can do the same thing. This is the 6th time he has arrived early for an event, due to his jet lag problems. Kudos to his team for addressing his very real problem of jet lag.

Itsuki and Shoma really share all their clothes it's really so cute + Itsuki also wears Collantotte necklace.
From twitter i gathered that Itsuki said shoma LOVES meat and obviously there is the little skit at the end lol
he also seemed to translate english to japanese for Shoma when he was interviewed by that woman
he said he went to Taiwan at a sho competition once and that fans were asking him autographs and were shocked when he said he was the brother
when he came back home from competition that didn't go well Shoma was always crying so he imitated him

honestly i want them to do a photoshoot together and i also want Itsuki to commentate with Miyu Honda when Shomarin Turanduo happens
