Spoken! featuring Shoma the meat-lover and vegetable hater in France. And apparently he knows nothing about Nagoya except that Chukyo U is in it.

Thank you for all the scans! The side profiles killed me! I'd put in a dead banana emoji but I'm on my phone. I think he needs a banana plushie! I don't think the huge carrot is a good idea (because it's enormous and the flower girls/boys will hate dragging that thing out of the rink! Plus all the connotations), but I wouldn't mind seeing broccoli, eggplant, cauliflower, beets... He can have all the ingredients for a veggie salad!

Welcome, biryanione!

fyshomauno does this countdown to Shoma's birthday with an ABC. Today is L, and the first gif is Shoma at JGPF looking for Fluffy. So funny....like a chick that's been left behind. Where is Fluffy, waaah!

Poor Shoma he always has trouble finding the exits. lol

I can't believe he will be 20 on his next birthday. Seems like yesterday that he was a Jr. and struggling to land the triple axle. I remember celebrating
when he did his first fully rotated triple axle in competition of course he fell but he got the rotations, the rest is Shohistory.

I like the carrot because it's taller than he is! I wonder how he would get it home if he received it while overseas??!! And then there's this clock. Ah, the possibilities are endless! http://www.cafepress.com/+raw_tbone_steak_wall_clock,1119351981

I can’t believe that Shoma is about to have his “coming of age” ceremony! They grow up so fast. Hope he has great skates at GPF and Nationals! And of course Olympics.

True! :dbana:

Thanks for posting! The list is great. I think my favorite is K. :luv17:

K is also my favorite. :luv17: :dbana: We don't talk about K enough!

Just a moment! :otopic: Where are you getting all these meat-related merchandise from? :laugh2: Who would have thought of taking a picture of a slab of meat and putting it on a pillow or a clock? Although after Lady Gaga wore an actual meat dress, I guess a "picture" meat clock or pillow is no big deal. I vote for the meat pillow, at least he's justified when he drools on it.

Look at how he holds his fists during the photoshoot. He looks so nervous and doesn't know what to do like how to pose or what kind of face should he put up. So adorable. :dbana:

I think here they're calling him Your Royal Hotness, and that's why they're fanning him.
:dbana::dbana::dbana::dbana::dbana:

I didn't realize that our cute Shoma can be such a hot lord. The traditional costume makes him very noble. :)

He transforms from a prince to a Japanese Daimyo lord. More noble, mature and regal. Why is he so perfect...:dbana::dbana::dbana:

K is also my favorite. :luv17: :dbana: We don't talk about K enough!

 K is the absolute best -- especially towards a stranger. Our Sho is so nice to little kids and so patient with them. That has to be included too.

These strange meat items come from www.cafepress.com. I think you can buy just about anything from them. You type in your topic and pages and pages of items come up. I bought a Putin magnet and a weird tennis t shirt I never would have found anywhere else. Veggie pillowcase, anyone?! I especially love Peace-Love-Broccoli. http://www.cafepress.com/+broccoli+pillowcase. :dbana: :dbana: :dbana:

:dumb: Wait! Doesn't Nagoya have an amazing castle?! I'm only remembering this because some US skaters participated in Mao's The Ice and went sightseeing in Nagoya :cool14: on their day off. Sounds like maybe they should have taken Shomita with them. :laugh2: :drama: https://www.instagram.com/p/BIrgmLUB0b8/

Maybe Mama Uno could ask Megan Duhamel for some recipes?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDINHYE8p9A

I'm pretty much sure that Mama Uno is probably the least happy about his eating habits, and I'm sure she cooked a balanced diet. But eating what you want is one of the few ways of taking control in your life, when a lot of things are decided for you. As long as it doesn't interfere with his results, I think he should eat what he wants.

I have been thinking lately about who can help Lord Sho about his eating habit and I exactly thought of Meagan! She probably knows how to make one of the best vegetarian meals in the world! I remembering seeing on her twitter preparing an all-vegan meal and it looks so appealing and appetising. Can we ask her for help on twitter lol

Hey guys, I know I am late for this, but I thought better now then after the GPF....

I am so sorry for the longest delay of telling you how my trip to IdF went.
It still is somehow surreal to me that this happened at all and I was there. And I saw Shoma in person. :luv17:

So here is my report about IdF, feel free to ask anything.

First of all Shoma is the main reason I went to IdF, so I was happy to see him no matter how the result turned out. And he is mesmerizing to watch even when he is not at his best, but maybe I am a little biased in this point.
When Shoma entered the rink I could only watch what he did. My gaze followed him and I was distracted. He did not even do anything and I was watching him...and his costumes are soooo beautiful, no picture nor video can show the true beauty of his costumes, especially his "Winter" costume looks so stunning, he should get an extra award for his cotumes

You could tell he was not in his best condition when you watched the training sessions . He was shaking his head about his jumps, popped a few jumps, had some falls, the Flip was not working at all. So his SP fall was not unexpected. He was very well appreciated by the crowd, he got one of the loudest cheers of all, beside only the french skaters got more. We spotted Shoma long before his SP in the ranks inside the rink. Shoma was actually more inside the rink than any other skater, only Bychenko was seen before his programs no one else. Shoma warmed up in the rink and watched parts of the Pairs SP and the Men SP first group. Shoma even took a selfie with a fan while warming up. What amazed me is that his surroundings did not seem to bother him at all.

In his FS training he was only about to start practicing his jumps when Samarin's music started, the rest he only skated in circles and talked to Mihoko. I was even wondering if he would jump at all. He was still smiling, but you could see he was exhausted and not pleased about himself.

Again Shoma was in the rink jogging around also after his 2nd group had the warm-up on ice. And there was this funny thing: Some entraces to the rink were closed during the competition and while Shoma was jogging inside the rink he tried to get through a door that was locked and looked puzzled and then had to find the right door to go out. Shoma is lost again - a series

His FS was a pure fight and I admire him for not putting the content down or popping the jumps, his 4Lo was great, can he do this while sleeping? He had not done 4Lo in practice at all. After his FS he slumped into Mihoko's arms.
One thing is for sure, Shoma got the most plushies and presents of all skaters. They had to put it in huge plastic bags and still there was more left. I wonder how he gets it all home, I am not sure if he can keep everything he gets. It is not Yuzu-like mass of plushies, but still...Also Shoma had the most banners of all skaters...
The medal ceremony was a French organizing showing at its worst...who decided those plastic stars were a good idea?:palmf: Skaters took it with humor...Shoma used it as a plate for all the stuff he had to hold  One thing is for sure it is a memorable "medal", but not in a good way...I am just sorry for Misha, his last GP and he finally won a medal and then it is a plastic star...oh well...

Btw talking about the organization...in the FS there was supposed to be an English commentator who should translate the French into English, but instead it was another French commentator who let out some English words from time to time...is this supposed to be a translation?

(You can read more about the Men event on my Tumblr here (I wrote that right away after the comp): https://jennibeultimate.tumblr.com/post/167709255473/personal-recap-about-internationaux-de-france-2017)

I took some videos and pictures of the competition, but I still have not found time to sort it out...:bang:

A... Putin magnet? Dare I ask? :slink: Love the broccoli, but I have a feeling that pillow will be donated rather than kept.

Jenni, so glad you enjoyed the competition and got to see him in person! I just realized I've read posts from both of your Tumblr accounts. Thank you for sharing, so great to read! :2thumbs:

Jenni, thanks so much for taking the time to tell us your thoughts. Sounds like you had a great time. Glad to have further confirmation that Shomita's costumes are amazing and that he was "off" during his skates. His facial color just looked so terrible. I was hoping he would live through the experience! :drama: Seemed like the audience was very appreciative of his efforts. He is so mesmerizing!...We look forward to seeing your videos and photos when you have time.

Long, boring story on the magnet...I need to start thinking about gifts for future competitions! I'm open to any and all ideas! :clapper:

Predictions thread tally so far for GPF gold: Shoma - 39, Nathan - 15, Jason - 1. Looking forward to it!
