Hey guys, let's keep this thread on topic. -Shoma, his awesomeness, cuteness, skating, future competitions etc. ;)
Question: Which of Shoma's Costume iterations, SP and LP are your favorite this season?
For me, the blue and gold Turandot is the best costume of all the men this year. I had a moment of panic at 4CC but it was just a tryout I guess. He went back to the blue and gold for Olympics.

I am so very glad he was not on the podium with that yellow thing. I'm a sucker for blue and he looks great in it. My dad actually noted that he liked Shoma's costumes. They had flair but didn't come off as being too much.

From our friend Kanna- who provided the translation and video link:

"The newest movie by Toyota, a short greeting from Shoma.

'I received a silver medal in the olympics, thank you so much for your support. The next competition is Milan World, I'll do my best, thank you for your support and cheer'"

Oh, I tried to add the link, but it's not working. Oh well.

Thanks Kanna!!! :hap93:

These kakkoii pictures are the best! They always bring a smile to my face. Although that hair is a bit -- I don't know what! The smile is adorable. Almost as wonderful as the piyo, piyo trampoline!
Yeah, the hair - remember it was slicked back and gelled during the FS in 4CC? He had less than an hour from the end of the medal ceremony to the start of the gala (I remember quickly going to see Kanna, then rushing back to the hotel and munching on some leftovers, then rushing back to the arena). He probably hated it so he washed it to get the gel out. I doubt it got properly dried. Hence, wet locks. [emoji28]

Oh right. That was the bad tango hair! Hopefully that's the last time we see that! :laugh2:

mmmmm. Not so sure about that. Matter of personal preference. Always like the fluffy hair better, although he's still cute with the slicked back hair. Should we take a poll? :laugh2:

i can't poll. I love too many of them!!!! I have to say the hair he has in his toyota message might be my fav... but then i see another picture and i change my mind
btw i wouldn't be against the return of the undercut he had at that gala he did in a chinese mall with Boyang

that quad loop was so glorious. most beautiful thing i've ever seen. Can't believe it was the 1st time he ever did it in competition lol. 4F was so amazing too.
those axels were such a shame bc i think it might be the best perf he ever gave of Loco

Depends on slicked back style. I liked his hair at the beginning of Loco Loco in Helsinki. I think I like his hair best here but not sure what to call it:

Fluffy but with product?

I'm not sure what was better there, the 4Lo or the hair. I vote fluffy with product. Too bad he blew his 3As in the FS. That SP (where he still wore the lavender shirt) was the first time he did the axel sandwich taking off from an inside edge spread eagle, and he incorporated a few moves that looked like David Wilson type moves. He may have gotten the bronze, but it was gold-plated in my mind, even tho Nathan got the gold.

Pre-Olys 4CC gold is bad luck anyway :p. I'm partial to the Helsinki skate, but that might be because I was there. I miss this program though. I'm so looking forward to what he brings next season. He's so good with different styles.

True, but that was quite a significant gold medal for a variety of reasons. I was happy Shoma could hang on for the bronze, despite his FS errors.
