That was such an emotional rollercoaster to watch but the last few elements and all the emotions behind them were stunning. We have such a fighter on our hands and I'm so so so proud.

Now Shoma please go sleep and game to your heart's content and don't move a muscle :agree:

Anyway, all over now...

I see how he feels now, but did you noticed? At K&C, after score announcement he said like "3 spot is OK?" and Mihoko sensei answered "Provably yes." And they were relieved (I couldnt hear their voice, but their mouths move was definitely like that).
He was just responsible for it and did it. He should be proud of him.

Shoma, refrain from gala and take enough rest! This experience made you stronger.

I hope he goes home and sleeps and eats all the meat. He fought so well and I can’t even say how much I am proud of him. Aside from the falls he did not pop his jumps at all, step outs and minor mistakes not included. He actually held his ground so well against pressure and injuries and everything.

Thanks hamaguri. I was wondering what they were chatting about in the K&C.

I was wondering about the Gala. I hope he declines too. He needs the rest.

His health was much more important than spot. But he was just hard on himself and responsible for it. I just hope he is fine...

Ok, I teared up watching Shoma's skate. Love this little guy's fierce attitude and dedication. Despite the mistakes, for me this FP was the most emotional and artistic I've seen from him this season. Loved it, and well-deserved 2nd place. Great job, Shoma! Wishing him sweet dreams now.

Not the most glorious silver medal of his career, but he showed remarkable grit in skating at all. I just hope he didn't worsen his injury.

Despite his multiple mistakes, I've never been more proud to be a Shoma fan. His fighting spirit is both fearsome and admirable. I hope he gets to recover nicely and come back next season to win some gold medals.

Just finished watching the press conference and compared to last year Shoma has really grown up and matured, just listen to the way he answered all the questions. He wasn't even nodding off at this press conference :laugh2:. But seriously so proud of what he did today.

edit: here is the press conference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3VCwmExAx0

Maybe it is the nurse in me, but even though he says there is not any pain, he needs to rest his foot. I did not expect silver after the second fall. He is so strong to finish his free skate so well. Congrats!:)

Is the conference on youtube?

Do you have a link?

Should we start calling Shoma the Silver King? :confused2: He's won a silver medal at every major ISU Championship competition. Now hes an Olympic Silver Medalist, 2X World Silver Medalist, 2X 4CC Medalist (Silver, Bronze), 3X GPF Medalist (Silver, 2X Bronze), and 2X National Champion. That's a lot of accomplishments for his 3 year senior career so far. Here's to hopefully being a champion next season.:hap10:

I'm so proud of Shoma for going all out with no regrets and never giving up. He's definitely my hero. :luv17: I feel like this silver medal is one that he will probably never look at again. It's tough when you accomplish something but can't feel happy about the way you did it.:disapp: He's said in a previous interview that he doesn't like to look at his medals after he wins them because he looks forward to the future without ever looking back. I love this about him and I can't wait for what his next season is going to bring. We all know he's not content with always winning silver and never gold. He's said this in an interview.
I want Shoma to come next season with programs to music no one else is going to be doing kind of like his junior years. I would love for him to do something contemporary or modern in the SP and something Japanese inspired for the FS. I hope he has a good rest and a great off season. I'm so proud of him for winning a medal at every competition he entered in for two seasons in a row.:hap36:

The public in the arena absolutely loved Shoma despite the mistakes, he got cheered on so much. I’m glad I saw him skate live, he is really musical!
