This is by far, my fav 3A from Shoma from Lady in Lavender program. It’s from 4CC 2017 where the B.ESP commentators grasped at how gorgeous this 3A was.

Also, he carved a heart later on~ not sure if it’s intentional but it looks like a heart to me [emoji38]It just reminds me that figure skating used to be about carving the ice (aka “figure”) with skate not really about jumping.

3A at Worlds, with TAT starting her passionate monologue on the beauty and musicality of this jump (she will go on and on).

There's a twitter hashtag sharing pictures of Japanese skater now and then (PicturesThatShowACompetitorHasGrown) ->tons of cute Shomita photos
Evolution of cantilever

Isn't he just FABULOUS! Fangirling is in full gear here!

I remember our commentators not understanding why Shoma suddenly made mistakes on the 3A at 4CC in the long, because he was known for his beautiful 3A's and jumped a gorgeous one in the short. It was a really weird LP for Shoma. Jumping perfect Quads and then the 3A's happened.

I remembered that as well because I was expecting gorgeous 3A like I saw in the SP but his 3A in FS didn’t go well, especially his 3A-Lo-3F combo. [emoji26] but anyway the program still beautiful and he even fell on the beat.

I remember seeing that heart carving. I thought my eyes were deceiving me. Love the way Mark Hanretty just can't stop himself from gushing as to how wonderful the jump is. This was also the first time we saw him jump it from an inside edge spread eagle.

Yesss. I kept seeing the heart once I saw it the first time. And yessss to the way Mark (lol I now know his name) gushed over the 3A.

Thank you all for everything you shared! The videos, comments, 3As, heart carving review...everything 's great!

Happy birthday MaiKatze! Hope you had a wonderful day full of love and happiness! :yahoo:

According to some details from a Stars on Ice Meet & Greet with Nathan, sounds like besides Sk Amer (which is pretty much a given) he is interested in IdF for his second GP event. The Feds still have to officially agree on things, of course, but it sounds like Sho's choices will be Sk Can, Moscow, Beijing, and NHK. This is pretty much what we were already thinking, but it seems like Nathan is confirming this...Thx to hhh for sharing the details...Please Sho -- Sk Can!!!!

...we then chatted about Grand Prix and he said it looks to be SA and the French Int’l but we asked wouldn’t COR made sense too but he said most likely will be the French Int’l though the committee hasn’t finalized the assignments, plus he needs to look at the class schedule.

:sad46: :sad46: :sad46: I know Shoma already went to France last year but still... it would have been nice to see him next year. Now I have to pray for one of the European challengers  since Moscow is going to be for Kolyada, it would make more sense for Sho to do Sk Can and NHK (since Beijing and NHK are back to back) so you have good chance to see him Arriba

Happy Birthday MK !

Those are the GPs that seem to work best with Nathan's school schedule ... hoping Shoma will be at Sk Can for you :)

Omg he looks sooo good in red 😍 Btw I'm new here so hi everybody! I've been following this thread for a while from the shadows 😆 but I've just decided to make an account

Hello and Welcome c3zara! Glad you decided to come out of the shadows to celebrate Shomita in FF with us!

Dug up this little snippet of Shoma at the Nagoya Figiureskating Festival back in 2007 while cleaning up my ten year old hdds, May or may not be new to some.

ETA. And another of him at the Novice B Nationals and Aich Prefecturals the following season.
