Thanks for the clarification and information! Shoma drinking it up! [emoji6] Makes me wonder who he drinks WITH. [emoji4] Kotaro and Yura? Someone else? Glad he goes out, regardless of whoever he's drinking with (as long as it's not Itsuki [emoji32] because we don't want them getting in trouble).

I read on twitter last month(?) that according to the owner of yakiniku restaurant shoma drinks cassis orange (he brings his own drinks coz they dont sell cocktail drinks) while eating yakiniku so perhaps he is with itsuki? Cassis orange is 70% orange juice and 30% cassis

Uh oh! Watch it Sho! Not too much drinking! :luv17: That tiny frame doesn't need lots of extra calories. And of course I had no idea what cassis was! Here's the definition:
Crème de cassis (pronounced [kʁɛm də kasis]) (also known as Cassis Liqueur) is a sweet, dark red liqueur made from blackcurrants. Several cocktails are made with crème de cassis, including the very popular wine cocktail, kir. It may also be served as an after-dinner liqueur or as a frappé. He seems to really like all kinds of sweet drinks, with or without alcohol.

Lol to Sho with the Rook hat !! :laugh2:
Is Sho trying to get the award for best athlete with worst diet ?
Cassis is pretty popular in France, it comes from Burgundy. I had no idea it was a thing in Japan. It's very sweet (normally you wouldn't use 30% of it to make a drink, so I guess Sho REALLY likes sweet things) and does not have a high alcohol percentage (like 5%), so of course, he's not going to get drunk with cassis orange
Also, we drink it with white (sometimes sparkling) dry wine, not with orange juice, that's an aberration !!! :roll5: Seriously with 30% cassis and 70% orange juice it must taste sooo sugary

It is very good if you pour a small amount over vanilla ice cream, yummy!

I googled it - creme de cassis is 15% alcohol (minimum per EU law)

In the US, I think it is most commonly used in a kir royale - 9 parts champagne and 1 part cassis - so 10% cassis

Shoma must eventually burn off all that sugar from skating :)

Belated welcome, Dreamer57!!

Late, but the Nagoya mayor sort of annoys me. [emoji48] He keeps asking about the 4A (did that last year too!). Good thing Shoma knows how to answer diplomatically (a softer but emphatic "Nope, not doing that!"). What a silly man (I'm referring to the mayor).

Thank you Latremu! Nice to meet you :)

I was pleased when I read that Shoma is planning to improve his jump quality and stability! I'm sure he can improve his GOEs in those and reach for the gold medals!

You can see the free skate from an angled viewpoint and the crowd's reaction to his ranking/Japan's 1-2 at the end!

Various viewpoints (distant) of the free skate. The camera then shifts, and at around 5:57 you can partially see when Shoma is protecting Mihoko from the flying toys as they are walking. Followed by the whole K&C section! :luv17:

Not sure if these ^^ have been posted before... but I enjoy watching them!

This sounds so good, I'll try it! Went to get a bottle but they were out of stock at my nearest supermarket  I'm not into sweet beverages but ice cream is dessert...

Dreamer57, welcome and thanks for the links! I hadn't seen the first one and it's pretty cool!

Arriba, love the links you shared! Rook looks so in love hahaha. And definitely he's super kawaii with any kind of hat, it's impossible not to love him!:luv17:

^^^Oh no! I think I need another new avatar! What would we do without yawning shoma?!

Happy Birthday, MaiKatze! :hb::hb::hb:

Thank you!

He drinks alone. At the hottest place in town. You know where it's at! (It starts with 'Fluffy's' and ends with 'Bar')

Thank you!

I thought the bartender is kind enough to drink with him at that bar? [emoji6]

Thanks Arriba! I like your picture/avatar :)
Thanks for the link too! How lucky you are to be able to watch him in person! :) Is it expensive to attend a gala skate? I love all his exhibitions. I hope we get to see the full Great Spirits ex soon!

The ticket for the gala in Milan was 150 euros, I think. I think echeveria went too, so she might know. The Milan tickets were a lot more expensive than the 2017 Worlds tickets in Helsinki, though.

I was thinking the face value on mine was more than 100€, but can that be right? Now I remember saying to myself, no skipping the gala at that price. I even did a post on GS trying to sell the ticket. I'm remembering 128€ face value for mine.

ETA -- Just saw in my Post #8122, the price was 121 E. I thought that was SUPER expensive.

I remember the lowest price for the lowest category was 50 euros, same as for the free programs.
