Hi, Hronop, I bookmarked your Shoma Jump Thesis and finally had time to read through your dissertation. Just superb analysis and examples given! :thank:
May I ask what is your expertise and profession outside of figure skating? Just wow! Thanks a million for writing that stupendous article and sharing with us Shoma fans. How cool it is to introduce yourself as having a Doctorate on Shoma Uno. :cool2:

Thank you! See post #9705. :)

Shoma skated to Time after Time and wore yellow Turandot at the finale! And now it's goodbye to new Shoma content for almost two months! :sad21:

😢 at least we have the broadcasts in June/July to keep us alive. Any news about what day they'll show?

Glad he skated also Time after time. Maybe they are now testing and bringing in jazz by this EX program and possibly in the future make a competitive program to that genre, we´ll see. https://twitter.com/hashtag/shomauno

I guess Great Spirits style of program could work as a competition program too. It looks VERY energetic and he seems to enjoy it a lot. The butterfly he did there in the end of the performance was awesome!

Bit late for the discussion of the genre of Shoma´s SP music. My first thought about it was that it is a mixture of Latin music and acoustic rock music.

Just read some interviews of Gabriela and Rodrigo. Rodrigo says that even he himself can´t tell what their music should be called because they created their style themselves and it is a mixture of many genres. But they say that for sure it is not flamenco and it is far from Mexican traditional music. Gabriela says that she didn´t ever learn to play the right flamenco rhythms so what she does are her own creations of rhythms.

Here are the interviews for those who are interested: https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/Interview_Rodrigo_y_Gabriela_Busking_for_Broke_ https://www.guitarworld.com/artists/rodrigo-y-gabriela-interview-border-crossing

Why would it burst? Got too excited maybe? [emoji6][emoji23]

:o:We need to discuss this....for science, Latremu....of course.....(not here, though)

Although we're pretty tame if you read the tweets of japanese fans, *lol*

That's what I'd heard. [emoji16] at least we TRY to be subtle. [emoji23] Let's do a scientific investigation, and Dr. Hronop can write up the article. I'm okay with being a research assistant. [emoji6]

Edited- An ANONYMOUS research assistant. I don't need credit. After all, it's all for science.

*cough* oh, we are not Shoma so we don't know if he forgot or...*cough* wanna demonstrate how to do zipper tactfully *cough*

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. He probably did zip up but it came open... for whatever reason. [emoji848] Defective zipper.

I mean, that they even see this, sitting who knows how far away? Where are they looking? What super-eyesight do they have? I assume he wore the Time after Time costume, which has black pants. The power of fans is amazing!

Binoculars? That are able to zoom in really well... on certain areas? [emoji12]
