1st episode of mini-tv programe "omoikakeru:

I guess yawning Shoma may need to fix the translation a bit...anyway,

what I like in this mini prog:
when Shoma said "How much can I possibly give back to those who’ve given me so much so far?", it showed the scene of Shoma hugging Mihoko sensei after his FP in OG.

Shoma's dream:
"To become someone being respected"

Also, I hope the girl's dream will come true!

do you know when more episodes will air?

Thinking about that t-shirt though (yes, I am still thinking about it): shouldn't it be the other way round? A hamburger called 'broccoli' would make a perfect excuse for Shoma to eat his hamburgers ('cause it's broccoli, you know), but this way he's sort of encouraged to eat broccoli instead, because that's a hamburger, and he likes hamburgers. Shoma's clearly in danger here, haha. He did not think it through, methinks. ;)

Oh I thought it was supposed to be like the word hamburger is “over/on top” of broccoli... like as in he will choose hamburger over broccoli.

From looking at this Diesel collection line, there’s another picture where broccoli is “over/on top” of meat... as in broccoli over meat..for veggie lover.

But if it’s the way you interpreted, hehehe Shoma did not think through and will be in danger because there’s broccoli comes in disguise as a hamburger [emoji23] somehow I picture the cute Shoma super suitcase animation with Shoma skating away from the disguised broccoli.

Awww Shoma is so sweet, thoughtful and loyal. Despite his sometimes clumsiness, his thought is pure and matured. From reading many interviews, he gave many good answers that show the maturity of his thought whether it was his skating or his respect toward other ppl.

Goodness, the more I know about Shoma, the more I love him.

He is pretty lovable! I always feel that he is sincere and uncomplicated. He is an example of "What you see is what you get" and is genuine. He is very thoughtful and has matured so much! :luv17:

It's difficult to tell who jumps better... We're really lucky because we've been receiving more Shoma news than we thought.

Arriba and Hronop, love the shirt anecdote (yes, that accent should have been backwards ;)) but I'm also sure he wore it even though there isn't any picture to prove it. So many opinions on the shirt made me prepare hamburgers and broccoli today for the family and they loved it

Gacchan, thanks for sharing the Colan Totte mini episode and for the translations. Shoma 's so sweet and I love his smile! Just curious, what's the girl's dream?

But I'm still sad :sad4: that he never wore the shirt that I had custom printed for him that had a phrase in Italian from Nessun Dorma. I know he received it, because I handed it to him! :console: I guess I should have told him it was a Diesel shirt! :luv17: :shame:

Arriba, there's a possibility that he treasured your tshirt gift because it is a nessun dorma shirt!

Rechecking the past season I just realized that Shoma almost won everything in Silver. Hopefully the new season gets him a lot of Gold.

Shoma can do the lift we all know that :laugh2:
...but only if he is the one being lifted

Honestly, Tarah and Shoma are like Laurel and Hardy when they get together. What I really want to see is Danny O'Shea doing something like a throw triple salchow with Shomita! (Of course Danny has to do the throwing!)

Totally different topic -- I have always wondered what is being said in this little video clip. Can anyone translate? Shoma looks like he is so full of mischief, and Itsuki is just egging him on. Even their father is laughing!

I was wondering who Laurel and Hardy were because the names didn’t sound familiar but I found out that’s because in my country they were renamed Stan and Bran and everyone knows them by that name 😂 interesting

Somebody mentioned Shoma changed the entry to the flip. I admit that I did not notice it at first

Yes, he changed it from a 3-turn to rocker-mohawk. He looked really confident going into it and landed with more ease so I’m really happy for him.

(I didn't know the male voice was Uno papa :P)

Female narrator: …such Shoma-kun is really close with his 8 years old bro.

Uno papa (asks Itsuki): How do you think about your bro?
Itsuki: He’s nice (yasashii)

Uno papa (asks Shoma): How do you think about Itsuki-kun, from elder bro’s POV?
Shoma: He’s interesting.
Uno papa: (hahaha)

[Then Uno papa said sth that I can’t hear well]

Shoma: Here we go
(start “hitting” Itsuki by throwing the ball at him)
Itsuki: Aww
Shoma: Oww

Uno papa: That’s intense (hageshii) <- I don’t know the proper English for this: strong? furious? Wild?

^^^Typical energetic, wild, crazy boys with a lot of energy. They do seem very close, even then...Thx for solving that mystery! :thank:

ETA -- I wonder if Sho is 8 years old, which would make Itsuki 4. Itsuki seems pretty small to be 8.

So I don't know how many US residents are here with cable tv (comcast/xfinity to be specific), but I recently got a 4k cable box for my 4K TV and NBC broadcast figure skating from the Olympics completely in 4k (you have to have both to be able to watch). It's got commentary from Charlie White which was a pleasant surprise and he says many nice things about Shoma, particularly how even after mistakes he never lets it dictate how the rest of the program will go. He commends his focus a lot. The broadcast also has completely different camera angles so I noticed different facial expressions from him that I didn't see in other versions. And also, I could spot myself in the crowd again which was really amusing. Towards the end of his program I could see myself clasping my hands in prayer (I think at that point I was really hoping he could keep it together to stay on the podium), and then I nodded in relief when he did his last jump and I smiled right before the cantilever :laugh:. It's funny to watch in retrospect because it's all a blur for me from memory.

Thanks for sharing this! Is this World 2018?

Charlie always talks highly about Shoma. There is also an icenetwork podcast from world 2017 and Charlie was praising Shoma as well.
