Thanks for the great photos! Do you know if there is any way to watch a stream / recording of these PIW shows?

But Shoma himself hasn't confirmed that Oboe really is going to be his SP, because like he said in the previous Nowvoice, he will see if he's able to return to Switzerland to make a new SP, but if he can't (because of the uncertainty of the situation), Oboe will be his SP.
So... if Oboe becomes his short program, that means there will be no cantilever next season? Bolero doesn’t have it. I hope he incorporates it in the next exhibition program. Or he should just perform it in the 6-minutes warmup as a stretch, for the sake of his fans. Unless it’s too taxing on his body, in which case we can watch it in past programs.

I still haven't figured out where the choreo is so maybe when that piece is refined, the cantilever will be part of that. The jumping passes aren't gelled yet so when he goes back to SWI I expect they will be patterned and the cantilever added to the choreo unless it doesn't match up well with Bolero.

Today Shoma skated Oboe Concerto 2 times at Prince Ice World, both for the afternoon and evening performance.

Today's layout:

Afternoon: Oboe 4T 4T twofooted 4Tso; Finale fall on 4T and starfished
Evening: Oboe 4T 1T 4T twofooted; Finale land 4T

As he reported in Nowvoice, he's currently in a quad battle with Yuma (who is also doing his performances at PIW with all-4T layout) and Kazuki (as well as Kao Miura too based on the Finale reports) 2 days done, 3 days left!

Some photos from today:

Now we wait for Nowvoice update...

Back in 2018-2019 season Shoma also didn't have cantilevers in his competitive programs (Stairway to Heaven, Moonlight Sonata) but he added them in his EX programs if he's invited to the Gala, even though the EX program originally didn't have a cantilever (Time After Time) 😊 I remember when there was a Japanese TV feature about him working on Grespi and DOMO back in 2019, Shoma acknowledged that he knows cantilever / klimkin eagle is considered by fans as his signature move. So hopefully he'll make a room for it somewhere next season.

Right now he seems to alternate the cantilever with the split jump though for ice shows highlights 😆 Gotta practice for Bolero I guess.

My guess for the Bolero choreo sequence is the spreadeagle-inside besti squat, but I know what you mean about the confusion, because the Bolero step sequence is suspiciously long. But yeah I think once he gets back to Switzerland and Stephane, Bolero will for sure gets polished more. I don't know if he'll add a cantilever or not. A similar example is his Moonlight Sonata FS, which has a cantilever when it's skated in ice shows, but none in the competitive version. It's still a long way until competitions started so we'll have to wait and see...

(Side note: Emma is too cute with that LV ribbon :ROFLMAO: )

Unfortunately we won't see more Oboe at PIW 😭 Shoma has been particular about rink size when it comes to doing competitive programs in ice shows: back in 2018 he also chose to not debut DOMO at the Friends on Ice show, instead skating it for the first time in Japan Open. The reason for that was also because of the smaller rink size not allowing him to preserve the required speed and flow needed for the program, as both PIW and Friends on Ice are held in the same rink in Shin-Yokohama.

Shoma made this cute face yesterday when he spotted Taichi Honda (fellow skater who just retired, Marin Honda's older brother) in the audience. What does this mean? Only him and Taichi know :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The PIW shows will not be streamed live unfortunately! It will be broadcasted on a later date, hopefully it will make its way to Youtube or Twitter so it can be shared here.

Shoma won the Finale battle outright for the first time (Kazuki and Kao fell, Yuma popped) and fans said he was REALLY HAPPY 😆

Not a lot of photos yet from today, but I'll leave some cute Shomas here 🥰

Now we wait for Nowvoice update...

Also! Fans reported that Shoma, Kazuki and Yuma are watching each other's performances at PIW 😆

Shoma's next NOW VOICE update. Thank you feimeicheng...So happy to hear that the guys are motivating each other on the jumps! Little by little, Sholero is improving, and this is great practice for his stamina. Good job on the 4Ts! :points: I'm sure people are disappointed that he won't be doing Shoboe, but it sounds like it's too difficult on the smaller rink under spotlights. Stay safe, Sho! Thank you for being so good to your fans!

I was really happy because I attended 3 different shows in 10 days.:cheer:
3rd show of SOI, the final show of Mao, and 8th show of PIW.
Each of the shows was great for me.
But I’d like to report on today’s afternoon show(Sho).
Actually I couldn’t find words.
Shoma’s Bolero was more than great.
All the jumps were perfect.(4S, 3 4Ts, 2 3Ss and 3A) but not only jumps.
He fascinated everyone.
I could see Bolero at SOI and it was pretty good and developed a lot today.
The whole audience gave him a standing ovation.
After his performance, I felt like I was punched by someone.

Because of this difficult situation, no fureai time this year.
You can take pictures after the show.
I waved “our” banner and Shoma looked at me (my thought).
He was cute in red shirt.
I couldn’t take good pictures but I was happy.
He was very nice guy indeed.

Sorry for my terrible report.
I’m attending the final show tomorrow.
(Oh, he tried 3A4T at the finale:dbana:.)

OMG @jerrymouse333 you were there!!!! I have been reading so many reports about Bolero this evening and wow!!!! You are so lucky!!! I remember you were also there to watch Great Spirit at Japanese Nationals 2019, you definitely bring good luck for Shoma!! 😆 And you got to wave our banner too!!!! Thank you so much for your report 🥰🥰🥰:pray::pray:

To recap! Today Shoma skated Bolero 2 times at Prince Ice World, both for the afternoon and evening performance.

The first Bolero today was nearly clean (only one fall) but the evening Bolero, like @jerrymouse333 reported above, is something special. I just have been scrolling Twitter all night just reading everyone's response. Fans noticed that there's a TV Tokyo van outside the arena after the evening show, so hopefully it will get broadcasted and we can all watch the video!!!:pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray:

Afternoon: Bolero 4T 4T hangs on 4T 3S 3A 3S 3Afall
Finale: 4F (!!!!!!) hangs on

Evening: Bolero 4S 4T 4T 3S 4T 3S 3A all clean!!!!
Finale: 3A4T (!!!!!) fall 😆

Nowvoice update! As translated by kind feimeicheng on Instagram:

Includes early Birthday Wishes for Yuma (who turns 18 tomorrow on May 5), preview of the punishment for the loser of quad race (eating super hot chilly noodles/peyoung on IG live/Youtube), and a special thank you to Yuma and Kazuki who pushed Shoma to challenge more and more quads in PIW and also, to the PIW audience for cooperating by following the no cheering with voice rules, and only applauding the skaters by clapping.

Also, today Shoma's gaming buddy Kome-shogun was in the house for the show. Maybe Shoma should start inviting his gaming friends to his competitions for good luck? 😆😆

Fan art of the evening Bolero ending pose, from a Shoma fan who attended :love2::love2::love2: Really hoping we'll get to watch it somehow!!
