Now I think so. The possibility that Shoma will have SP gets quite high now.
Yeah, pretty much Déjà Vu of 2018.:hap10:
Have you seen or heard anything about who is skating which team event for JPN? I know you mentioned it was pretty certain that Yuma would do the FS, but I wondered if that was just a guess? I have heard only guessing (for all countries) who the skaters will be.

My advice for the alternates -- keep practicing.

Yeah, he definitely will be Worlds as long as he stays healthy. For him, Olympics is just one competition in his way.
US team is also fine? Any info about TEAM members? Anyway, stay healthy everyone.
Have only heard that the team members are gathering in LA for processing. Not sure if every member is going right now but I hope they have several charter flights to get them there safely. Pretty sure there are separate gates for the athletes to enter at the airport but that's something I remember reading and it makes sense so.....No news is good news.

Good advice for the alternates b/c for JSF, it's not a stretch to take them to Beijing.

IMO, Yuzu is the key. Does he skate the TE in hopes to get a team medal? Which segment? He would have the choice as the national champ.
Then Shoma and Yuma's SP/FS skate if Yuzu does/does not skate TE.

I would think that all 3 are in the conversation for a medal in the individual along with Nathan and Vincent. Well know soon.

So sad, but it's true. I just wish.

Yeah, it's our guess. :party2:Anyway, we will have the info, soon.

A really lovely interview of Stéphane ❤️
[Edit Arriba already posted it above! 😁]

I am so happy that Shoma is surrounded by so many supportive people that believe in him. He really has been blessed by meeting the right people just at the right time. Also great to see how he seems to be in such a good place mentally right now, and his form looks great too judging by the news coverage and the Unowan channel videos. However the Olympics will turn out, he has done a great job in the preparations imo. Hoping for the best for him ❤️❤️

Shoma's message from JSU!

This is Shoma. At Beijing Olympics I won't fight for rankings but will show you how much I have improved myself in this season. So much happened during these years and thank you all for your continuous supports. This year it's my turn to entertain you with my performances."

This says Nagoya children gave advice to Masama. Did anyone hear or read what the advice was? I'm sure it was "interesting".

I'm sure he doesn't need any advice from me at this point! I LOVE what I see. We aren't just seeing one jump from him on Twitter or Instagram. In all the Unowan practice videos, I see focus, intensity, concentration, perseverance, attention to detail. And then he goes home to a great home where he can relax and unwind and enjoy the love and support of his family and the puppies. He seems to be in a great place both physically and emotionally. #GO SHOMA!

I am not sure if it is interesting! They say like this,
He has not been able to succeed with the layout of 5 quads.
Spin is fast.
Stay calm when you are spinning.
I want to see things other than jumps as well.

Ahaa, he has not got 5 quads layout yet. But it's okay for him. Olympics is in his way of growth. Challenge is important for you. Even if he does not get it at Olympics, he may at Worlds!

Yeah, he seems in a very good condition. At latest video, he was the last day off. From now, his Olympics days will start. In order to avoid covid, they have masks at home, and he does not eat with his family.

Thank you for letting me know about the childrens' advice! This is gonna be fun to attempt to translate! 😁

Child #1: "He rotates really quickly on his spins, so he should pay attention to things other than his jumps."

Child #3: "I want Shoma to smile because if you smile more you get more points!"

(I think Child #3 has some good advice, lol, Shoma's smile is the best, even though his programs this year are rather serious. 😁)

Child #4: "Go all out and show us everything you can do! I want you to get on the podium!

(Child 3 and 4 are from the second post in the thread. Couldn't translate Child 2 because I had no idea what 落ち着せる meant, though the child does mention he hasn't been able to land all his jumps in competition.)

^^^Ha! Love the SMILE comments. I guess this kid doesn't realize that it's Japanese tradition to skate with the "I want to kill you now" look. I don't know, I'm trying to picture Shoboe and Sholero with Smiley Shooms! What do you think?!

Maybe the Shoboe could work with a few soft smiles, but the Sholero? Definitely not! 🤣

Fmmm... According to Jan.30 youtube, he keeps treatment until departure, and will leave 'in a few days'.
So he will go there on Feb... No team event?.. Fmmm...
