This season is going to be a great one I can sense it. I wonder what it will be like at Skate Canada in a few weeks?

I think it's going to be a good place for Shoma. The Canadian tournaments I have been to have had a lot of loving, supportive fans attending them. I still remember the sea of red and white Shoma towels that greeted him during the Grand Prix Final in Vancouver in 2018...I hadn't realized just how much support he had until then. I also didn't expect to become a fan of him back then either, but then he let me into the Unoverse. 😆

Anyway, I'll definitely be at Skate Canada, doing my best to make it a wonderful place for Shoma. :cheer:

Looks like we have lots of content this weekend in the GP preview. As always, I'll hope some kind soul gives us a translation. A!though I do understand he has made some comments about eating vegetables! LOL! 🥒🍆🥔🥕🍅In the meantime, here are Stepen's comments.

I finally gave in and ordered the new Mook from Amazon JPN. With that cover, I couldn't resist! I told myself a LONG time ago I have no business ordering magazines, etc. that I can't read!

Happy Birthday to my favorite rabble rouser, Baron kun. What a handsome boy! Thank you for your unconditional love for the Uno family.

If you can't have the real thing, get one with a great cover and in a language you don't understand. Maybe google translate will be your friend!

Baron has become a great little dog for the Uno's. He's still a zoom-zoom but he's so adorable and he is getting a little calmer in his old age.

they often say dog owners start looking like their dogs.... and i have to admit that one day, as i was walking my standard poodle, a guy laughed at me as my hair was a mess, and he thought I looked exactly like my dog....

well well... shoma is just as cute and adorable as his dog... 💕

Behind the scenes at Friends on Ice. Of course, it would be fun to understand everything they are saying, but it is still fun to see them interacting back stage. Glimpses of Sho's jumps during. Padam Padam.

Completely random but I wonder did Shoma ever say if he was ticklish? Every time I see a video or photo of Demi helping Shoma with his feet off the ice it just looks so ticklish. Not only that but when he is home with the dogs and they are licking his feet that also looks so ticklish.

Wow! :jaw: Talk about a beautiful advertisement for Skate Canada! It's getting closer! Less than 10 days now.

Getting excited to see SC. For all those going, ENJOY THE SHO!!

I'm in complete agreement with Skate Canada in their choice of skater to feature and the grandest costume of them all, the Princely sparkle t-neck.
I'm going to go back and track where Stephane will be over the next 6 weeks now that he has Koshiro in two events along with Shoma and Deniss. He's going to be one very busy coach.

So, Coach Lambiel will be a very busy man. He will be at 4 of the 6 GP events with his 3 skaters.

SA: Koshiro
SC: Shoma and Deniss
MK John Willson GBR: Koshiro and Deniss
NHK: Shoma

No France or Finland. That would be too easy to be in Europe. :)

Great work, coach!

I'm getting jet lag just reading that! :laugh2: :dbana::bed: And I thought one hour time difference was bad.

Me too. Two in a row, rest one week, two in a row. Bad enough but his last GP is in Japan and has to travel from the UK. Hope he's packed!
At least he'll be flying in style with all the frequent flyer miles he must be getting from these flights. 😂

I'd be really worried about that many flights for anyone traveling so much in such a short amount of time. 1st class and economy all go or are delayed at the same time.
Today, you have to leave a day ahead to get to where you're going on time! I'm going to send good travel vibes to Coach Lambiel and all the skaters.

Also forgot the GPF in Torino after Espoo. That's a short hop so not worried but it's still a flight. And then Japan Nats over Christmas. Head hurts.

Sorry, l was merely attempting to be humorous with my previous post. Maybe I shouldn't have taken it so lightly.

That much travel really does seem exhausting, and I hope Stéphane has some good travel strategies to deal with all the time zone changes and any difficulties...and can still have enough energy to be there for his students. 🙏

Absolutely nothing to apologize for! I think you’re right that he has zillions of mikes but he was delayed because of COVID testing and had to make a million connections and it made him miss the team competition at the OG and that got me thinking about the 6 trips he has to make between now and Christmas. It is exhausting, isn’t it? All those body adjustments for him and his students. They must have a plan. Steph leaves nothing to chance. But I want good travel vibes for them all to be healthy and have good skates.

This is long and all in Japanese, but Shoma's sponsor company TOYOTA had a long feature with him and fellow TOYOTA teammate Rika Kihira streamed on their Youtube today! There are interviews, practice footage, and most importantly........ Shoma playing UNO lol. Yes, UNO the card game. I know it's all in Japanese but if you have time, I recommend watching his UNO game (starts from 46:06 of the video) :ROFLMAO:

shomagravity on Twitter shared a summary of the video (click the tweet for more in the thread):
