Ohhhh....myyyy...Who is this crazy man with the wild man Great Spirit twizzles! Thx for posting Vilya....This festival has always had the coolest vibe. The skaters all seem to be relaxed and having fun, enjoying the camaraderie. Great atmosphere, super-appreciative audience. It might be cold to sit right on the ice, but it sure would be fun!!!!! :points: Terrific way to start off the year!

I wonder if that hairstyle was done on purpose?

Throwback Thursday awesome Nagoya Festival memories:

He always seems to get a little wild during this festival! Remembering this amazing "shot out of a cannon" 3A with awesome ice coverage. Incredible!

Speaking of memories, look at this small bean! I'm not 100% certain, but it looks like the event might be our little Sho at the Nagoya Festival. Now he is the adult who skates around holding the little one's hand (from 2022)!

Can't wait for the broadcast of the Nagoya Festival on January 9th. They changed streaming services this year so it seems that the online archives are choppy.... I hope they consider going back to Zaiko for next year since it's easily accessible by overseas fans. The multi angle cameras are great, but not having choppy videos are even better!

Bits of interview after Shoma's skate:

I wonder who he spent his first skate of the year with.... From the glimpses I saw of Nagoya Festival, it seems that he had a lot of fun. Spending time with Marin really lights Shoma up like no other ❤️ and Great Spirit is as always, not just the fans' favorite- but also the skaters' favorite! Sota, Kazuki and Kaori all teased him during the program with the fistpump pose, and Shoma had a giant smile after seeing them 😆

^^^That's the photo I was looking for of him with that little boy. It reminded me of how he was the little guy at one point and now all the kids look up to him...I agree about Zaiko. The quality was really good. They are really missing a valuable, untapped source of revenue by not making things easily accessible to international fans...I would say we probably don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out with whom he spent his first skate of the year. LOL.
