Shoma's last practice today, fans were able to watch too as the audience were already in the arena before the start of Pairs. No change in costume, all jumps landed in run through with appearance of 3Seu3F (step out).

Emma is still in Nagano to support Shoma 🥺 she also met Mura, Sota and Stephane!

Good luck Shoma tonight!!! And good luck too to everyone!!!

Congratulations to Shoma for completing his 13th consecutive Japanese Nationals, making his 10th consecutive Japanese National podium, and of course- winning his 6th Japanese National title. You can't win the competition in the short but you can lose it there, and he managed to pull a clean one two days ago that mattered today. Not bad for a 62-year old skating grandpa!

Congratulations to our 6-time champ. Was sound asleep when he skated, but I look forward to seeing his performance. From what I read, sounds like the final group did a stellar job. So proud of Sho that he was able to come through in what is always a pressure cooker competition! Sho, you really rock ( for a 62 year old! :laugh2:). So proud of you!

Translation from feimeicheng on Shoma's interview after the FS:

Shoma fought well. He already said from the beginning of Nationals that his conditions are so-so and one of his boots broke before Nationals, so this was a title well earned. And honestly before the season started I had doubts about how competitive he can be this season- so the medals at the GP series and the win here is... I'm not taking it for granted.

Love the K & C. At the very end Stephane said "The circus is done!" :hb::laugh2::hap10::points: So very proud of Sho and how his experience really shines through. He has really learned how to control his energy through Stephane's guidance. The dynamic duo! What a team! Or maybe we should say the dynamic trio. Can't leave out Demi-san!!! Hard fought! Well fought! Congratulations!

Shoma giving a shoutout to everyone for their great performances, especially Sota Yamamoto, who was clearly the cleanest skater across both the SP and the FS at this Nationals. Fans in Nagano also mentioned that after Sota finished skating and Shoma was entering the rink to skate after, Shoma skated to Sota and circled him with a big smile before Sota went out.

Looks like people came prepared with their banner towels. I loved when they would show the whole arena and it was literally a SEA of towels! Congratulations to the happy medalists!

Congratulations, lovely Shoma. His record at the Nationals must make him the most prestigious Japanese skater of all time? Has any Japanese man won more than 6 domestic championships? I'm no statistician but surely Shoma is the top of top!!!

With 6 National titles, Shoma now ties both Takeshi Honda and Yuzuru Hanyu for the second most Japanese Nationals title. The first by a mile is Nobuo Sato: he won 10 Japanese National titles during his career. Nobuo Sato is one of Marin's coaches actually!

I'm very happy for these results for Shoma. He must be so relieved that Nats are over and he can concentrate on refining and building toward his (hopefully) 3rd title.
His sp was amazing and gave him what was needed to have room for the fs score. What an exciting competition and Shoma should be proud of his 6th National title. He is clearly the overall prince of the field. So happy for him and his team. Loved, loved, loved seeing Stephane and Caro together.
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate and see you all on the other side of the calendar.

So I have read two things in the comments, Twitter, etc that Sho said that make me very happy. 1) He is changing out his boots. PLEASE Sho!. 2) At some point he uttered the words "NEXT SEASON". :dbana: Is it a little too early to start praying for one competition in Europe or North America?! :bang::bow: :ghug: Will he bless us with another season?! PLEASE!
