Shoma Uno

There's another public rehearsal of OPOI today and there are MORE photos!!!

Apparently what they have been practicing is a completely new group number of Straw Hats crew, with more skating from the skaters to the OP theme song "We Are!" Shoma and Koshiro talked and suggested it to the Director and choreographer, and they agree to make a new one.

Shoma said that:

"I've been saying how nice (a new group number) would be. The request was granted and a group number was added to the program."

"I'm satisfied. I was smiling the whole time during practice. At my age, I feel like a child again. It's like I asked for it, and was given it. It's a very moving program".

Wow! It must be so much fun.

Love his kind words.

He also said in an Instagram reel that he had an ice cream sandwich for breakfast...Sho's pushups are going well, but his arms got too big for his Ice Turandot costume!...Remembering his last collaboration with Stephane when they did "WInter",.the most challenging part for Sho was the twizzles. When he did them perfectly, Stephane rewarded him with cans of Red Bull.

Shoma is going to appear on Kenji's "Kenji's Room" talk show program to be broadcast on Sept. 17. They will also rerun Sho's 2015 appearance, which was hilarious. At that stage of his career, Shoma was so nervous during the interview he practically choked every time he talked! :laugh2: And Kenji would ask these long, long questions and Sho would answer "Yes." I hope we will be able to see the new interview!

Shoma's interview with Kateigaho. Machine translation worked quite well. He talked about the usual topic of his retirement, but also the parts about his view of himself as a competitor and his strengths is skating, as well as about his mother, and his (lack of) fashion sense were pretty great.

Also Shoma had a chill appearance at the radio program "Blue Ocean" at TOKYO FM yesterday to promote OPOI. The shirt (one of the only 3 he wears every single day lol) is a perfect match for the session! Fans said he was pretty chill and gave thoughtful answers in the part where they listened to listeners calling to tell their stories and ask for advice.

One of Shoma's quotes shared during the radio is:

“I'm a professional skater now, so I'm still skating as I always have. But there are times when I suddenly feel I'm retired. I often skate with current skaters in ice shows, so when I was active skater, I had to start practicing the day after the ice show. But I am not in that position anymore, so when I hear the skaters I was in the ice show with say, “I have to practice tomorrow,” I realize that I've retired.”

The radio host asked if Shoma's felt any sadness and whether he thinks he's done enough already, and Shoma said he hasn't felt sad yet because it's just 3 months since he retired :ROFLMAO:

Shoma with the beloved Mao. Thank you for "recruiting" our Shoma! Who knows, maybe he wouldn't have become who he is without her!!!

Wait, Shoma is being lifted?! This definitely is a different show. Looks like Andrew Poje and Jeremy Abbott.
