Shoma Uno

More details of Ice Brave, because I'm at work:

3 cities in June and July, each with 3 shows:

- Nagoya - Moricoro Park
June 14 (2 shows)
June 15 (1 show)

- Fukuoka - Ovision Ice Arena
June 21 (2 shows)
June 22 (1 show)

- Niigata - MGC Ice Arena
July 12 (2 shows)
July 13 (1 show)

The songs performed at #IceBrave are all from Uno's current program (including EX numbers), except for two songs. Solo numbers as well.
About his co-stars, he said, “I'm really enjoying the sense of togetherness in the team competition now,” and “Technique + humanity is important. I think people who are fun to work with will practice more naturally.”

It's similar to Mao's Thanks Tour and I'm really happy 🥰

I listened to the stream in Japanese! I'm surprised that most of the numbers will be from his competitive career; I thought there would be more new stuff! Shoma did explain why, though, something about being dissatisfied with how he did them in competition and using this show as a chance to improve on them so he can be satisfied. I'm stoked that Stéphane will be there (and was seriously hoping for this)!!! Shoma said that Stéphane felt the most uneasy about Shoma doing an ice show, lol. I thought Shoma's use of "team competition" was referring to how he felt during stuff like WTT, but I could be wrong. Pushing the other members to be their best was something he mentioned, though. He definitely wanted to bring certain sense of togetherness and friendship with his choice of skaters. There was something Shoma said like if you have to do multiple performances for a show, why not do these performances with friends? Lol. To a certain extent, he appears to be doing this for his fans as well. His main goal for the show is getting the crowd hyped! Not the loftiest of goals, but I'll take it! 😁

The press conference had a lot of fun moments. English subtitles would have been nice, but -- oh well. I especially enjoyed hearing Stephane's greeting. I'm so happy to hear he will be performing. (I started the video at Stephane's greeting) Shoma promised to make Stephane work hard. LOL. Now it's his turn to be the slave driver!

From what I was able to understand, he's gonna make Stéphane work hard because he's coming from overseas and needs to keep up with everyone else, lol. Although it appears he's making everyone work hard! 😈😆

I wonder if Shoma asked Stephane for this show over the dinner they had during JNats. I remember thinking Stephane sounded so dreamy and pleased when recounting it at his fan meeting 🥰

Some previews of the practice... is that Shoma and Marin tangoing in part 3/4 👀👀👀👀

Also always a pleasure to see Shoma working on dancing- he's such a good mover 😭 I always wondered that he would be too OP if he actually takes dance practice seriously lol.

It could be WTT but I also thought about Olys team competition, especially after 2022. I think Shoma was more conscious of being the top batter (first skater out to compete) for Team Japan and the importance of setting the tone. Considering that the team had their personal bests performances for the team competition, especially for the singles skaters which is the most important part for Team Japan to hold their ground, he had a point of starting well.

I think Shoma's been vocally quite appreciative towards team competitions after, especially after 2024 Summer Olympics had the Japanese men gym team won a team medal too. It can also be because team competition really opens up the possibility of expanding opportunities for more skaters.

There might be a mutiny if he doesn't do it! LOL!!!!
Am I the only one here who is fine either way whether he does that program or not? LOL

I distinctly remember when I first saw that program on TV...I thought "What is that? What IS that?!?!? Is this kid really doing that?!?!?" I was shocked by the choice of music and the sheer sensuality involved...and the shock still lingers a little bit...:dbana:

Also, I remembered something from last night where Shoma said he wanted fans who weren't able to see him compete to be able to see his programs...

It's a split second with those two tangoing. I wanted to see more!
