Shoma Uno

Shoma's interview with Shun reminds me of this interview Shoma did with Daisuke Takahashi, also before Shoma's first ever senior Worlds. The thing that reminds me was because Daisuke gave advice to Shoma about not overworking / overtraining (Shoma was training 7 days a week back then, no rest days). Fast forward 9 years and we have Shoma worrying about Shun training too hard as well 🥺

Looking very very dapper today.

Awww, the tweet said that when Shoma appeared in the K&C area to shoot footage for Japanese TV, someone called his name from the audience and he pointed at himself going "who? me?" and waved. Anyone watching in person, keep an eye on him!

^^^From what I could see, he looked stunning!!! All of a sudden towards the end of Group 4 men, there was a bit of a ruckus and yelling, and I heard someone yell "It's Shoma!!!!" The audience was all abuzz. Sheesh. That suit. He's still adorable!!!! Even dapper doesn't do him justice. Shomajesty is shodorable?? Fuzzy photo but who cares!!!!! Made my day.

Thank you! Yes, I arrived Sat. For today's practice (only 3 groups of the men) , I was able to sit In the 2nd row,, thx to a kind friend saving me a seat. When you're sitting that close, it's amazing to see how FAST they are. You just don't get the sense of speed on tv or computer screen.

Oh boy, I hope he wasn't too distracted from doing his job! :drama: I'm glad you got to see him again, though!

In this video you can listen to fans going, "Shoma?? Is it Shoma?? Oh it really is Shoma" when Shoma was preparing for taking the footage at Kiss & Cry. @Arriba627 I guess this was what you talked about being the commotion hehe.

Believe me. He is missed! Sounded like all the people around my seating area. Sigh.

Adding:
Even Japanese press is writing articles about how Sho's appearance caused a stir:

Media spotted a famous Japanese skater at the venue. Although he has retired from competition, overseas fans have been saying things like "We miss him so much" and "He should come back right now," showing how popular he is.

He has returned with a firm expression. Standing in front of the backboard installed in the interview area of the tournament is Shoma Uno, who retired from competition at the end of last season. The 27-year-old, who has won medals at two consecutive Olympic Games, put on a coat and gave a thumbs up in a suit and tie. The world champion, who won consecutive championships in 2022 and 2023, has returned in a different position.

Overseas fans have also expressed their joy, saying, "I miss Shoma so much. I can't wait to see him watch Yuuma (Kagiyama Yuma) skate," "He looks even younger than when he was competing," "Shoma has been competing since 2016. It wouldn't be the World Championships without him," "My favorite skater!", "oh no, my heart...!", "Omg Shomaaaaa," and "Come back now."
