Oh, I intend on getting a premium seat. The only question I would ask is if I could get a photo with him. There was also new content yesterday, and one I really was curious about ever since this June, which is... a vlog of Shoma and Marin training their program for Ice Brave with Kenji Miyamoto. It's quite long (26 minutes) but I really enjoyed it. Seeing them work hard together, skate together, communicate together, is so fascinating. Shoma definitely putting those thunder thighs of his to good use.
Also some photos of Shoma's (taped) appearance later today on King's Brunch at TBS. The concept of the show is that the guest (Shoma) is given 100,000 yen to shop at a shopping center, but if the guest says a forbidden word during taping (they don't reveal this forbidden word to the guests) money will be deducted from the 100,000 yen.

I didn't even remember his score was 107Watching competitions can be so stressful that sometimes I ask myself why I do it. At Shoma's last Worlds, I almost passed out when his SP score came out (107!). I guess I wasn't breathing properly during the performance
I definitely don't have the heart to watch competitions, it's why even before Shoma retired all I did to watch skating live is go to shows 
he tried on VR glasses showing haunted house footage and couldn't take it lol

Well, that is true. It's a deadly combination, but I wouldn't trade my competition memories for anything. Now we have a large library of his competition videos to watch whenever we want.Seeing that live was so beautiful...I'm not sure if it was even possible to breathe due to being enraptured by its gorgeousness
(Yes, there was some nervousness involved as well...but I think awe may have been a bigger factor for me)

Shoma was taking part in a charity Street Fighter 6 competition Topanga Charity yesterday (Topachari). It's a team competition so he had some time to chat with his team and actually did a pretty good job explaining how figure skating works as a sport to fellow gamers 
at one point someone asked whether Plushenko is still around and Shoma was like "he's two generations older than me 
"
He also logged out of his stream just in time for the final 2 groups of Men... so... he probably saw what went down.

Shoma Uno Created the Catalyst for Adoption Among Skaters
Another major factor in spreading the blades among athletes was Shoma Uno.
“After all, he competed at the Beijing Olympics using ‘YS BLADES’ and won a medal. That impact was huge.”
Uno began using the blades in January 2021, before “YS BLADES” were officially announced.
The blades Uno used were a custom model based on the “Sho” version of YS BLADES.
“We received many detailed requests from Uno and refined the blades specifically for him.”
As a result, the blades took on a distinctive, almost unusual shape that surprised other skaters—revealing Uno’s skating sensibility and technical skill. Incidentally, after switching in 2021, Uno used the same blades for more than three years after his last change. At a time when blades are said to last only one or two months, this longevity also speaks to the durability of YS BLADES.
YS BLADES also offers ice dance blades. For the ice show Ice Brave, Uno switched to those ice dance blades.
“What surprised us was that he jumped quadruple jumps on them. Compared to the ‘Sho’ blades he used in competition, they’re almost the complete opposite as products. Ice dance blades are designed on the assumption that jumps won’t be performed. And yet he could still jump—that’s incredible.”
Whether in his competitive days, when he pursued blades with absolute dedication, or now, jumping seemingly effortlessly on blades made for a different purpose—both sides reflect who Shoma Uno is.

Oh that’s what the stream was about. I caught a little of it when he was live. That’s funny about Plushenko but he is right. I have a feeling he’ll talk about what he saw at Nationals at some point. I can imagine he is both sad and happy.

This time with a Street Fighter 6 professional gamer (previously he had a video with Smash Bros Ultimate professional gamers). This guy was the one that took on Shoma's request to coach him in the game without knowing he's a 3-time Olympic medalist, which makes for a very funny exchange between them.
