yeah, i was curious cause someone needs to answer for that costume btw kinda late thanks for sharing Koshiro's 3A attempt video, he didnt rotate it (not even close haha) but at least he didnt fall!! and his smile after that is i love many junior skaters this season (including Marin, Yuna A and Yuna S ) but to me Koshiro is the best thing at Juniors this season, he is so precious to me i hope we will see him at Junior Worlds!!

I hope Koshiro goes to JW too. I think he will if he keeps on improving but I can't believe Nationals will be held in 2.5 months!
My wild guess ver.1 is, 1.Sota 2. Hidetsugu 3.Koshiro
But of course I'm going to change my mind many times until it's decided

i love how he just laughs it off after a mistake for junior worlds i would love to see Sota (100% will be there anyway unless sth bad happens) and Koshiro, dont know about 3rd one, i kinda like Sena too haha, do they have similar criterias for JW like Worlds or is it certain that top 3 will go?

My dream team is Sota/Koshiro/Sena but realistically, I think someone who has the most consistent 3A or 3-3 will be chosen. I don't want to go back to watch all the messy programs but iirc, Hidetsugu's jumps were less messier than the others except for Daichi who doesn't have a 3A nor a stable 3-3 so I had to leave him out unless he suddenly starts landing quads :thumbsup:

This is just for Junior Ladies/Men single skaters.
1. Winner of Junior Nationals will be chosen.
2. 2nd and 3rd will be chosen comprehensively from those who fulfill the criteria from below.
a) Finished within 3rd place at Junior Nationals.
b) Competed at JGPF
c) The top 3 finishers at Nationals (top 3 from all the juniors I think)
d) The top 3 Japanese from ISU Season's World Ranking at the time of Nationals.
e) The top 3 Japanese from ISU Season's Best Score at the time of Nationals.

I just looked up d) and e) and Koshiro and Daichi qualify for both d) and e) as of now.

You probably don't need this info. anymore but Haruka left for Canada yesterday according to the Niigata Skating Federation FB page.

lets all send Haruka good vibes! judging by recent competition she seems to up her tech, she didnt fall there but she had too many UR calls, i hope she will have better performance this time around, she is up against Elizabet (another one of my faves and looking pretty good so far) and US ladies Amber, Angela and Tyler, i hope to see her on the podium

thanks mikaboo for finding criteria for JW, so its kinda similar to seniors, i hope we will see Koshiro but he surely will have competition for the spot!

Though it was a bit unfortunate that none of the Team Japan boys besides Sota placed within Top 4 during JGP I was glad for the opportunity to watch each one of them skate. Since this is my first season following the JGP competitions (Men's discipline anyway) it was also my first time seeing many of these skaters perform. My untrained eye can see positive in each of them but (excluding Sota) the ones who really stood out for me were:

Kazuki Tomono - Original and interesting music choices and choreography. I like his speed, energy and attack. Can't wait for him to get his 3A and 4S fully rotated and consistent...well, all of his jumps actually~

Mitsuki Sumoto - Consistent, controlled and steady with pretty jumps and spins.

Daichi Miyata - Beautiful, graceful skating especially highlighted in his SP

Koshiro Shimada - Performance ability and charm. Arguably the most "balanced" skater of TJ Jr. boys?

Sena Miyake - Only 13 and proved his ability to think under pressure and adjust his layout to his benefit

Hidetsugu Kamata - Commitment to his movements and desire to deliver quality in his programs. Seems like a perfectionist. Though his skating style is not my favorite I can't help but cheer for him.

Yuto Kishina - I see Pairs skater! Is 13 too old to convert? Don't know why I think this since I hardly ever watch Pairs and have zero technical knowledge of this discipline. Either way I see a lot of potential in him.

~Excited to watch as all of the boys develop their skills and their performances mature.

Best of luck to Sota, Yuna S, Mai, and Marin at JGP Final and also to all the Team Japan Sr. skaters in their upcoming competitions!

There is no surprise as Jeff is now very popular among Japanese fans and seems like appreciate him as the No.1 choreographer in this field (including me ).

Wonderful that another Rika and Midori are rising up as promising Novice girls.

What if we might have to write their name as Midori-Y (Midori-I) or Rika-K (Rika-H) every time in the near future!?! like we already do with some others who named Yuna as Yuna-A or Yuna-S. as long as they are written in Roma-ji.

I'm lazy so I just like to call them Yunaa, Yunas, and Rikak

I don't know if anyone will find this useful or if it's already been done before but I was getting annoyed with clicking through the regionals results trying to compare the novice scores and seeing who the top competitors were so I made a spread sheet with the top novice scores here I wanted to do juniors too but again... lazy! I'll update the scores every time there's a novice comp.

As far as I know, both Haruka and Akiko's costumes are made by Chacott.
