Skaters on Team Japan

I'm lazy so I just like to call them Yunaa, Yunas, and Rikak

I don't know if anyone will find this useful or if it's already been done before but I was getting annoyed with clicking through the regionals results trying to compare the novice scores and seeing who the top competitors were so I made a spread sheet with the top novice scores here I wanted to do juniors too but again... lazy! I'll update the scores every time there's a novice comp.

Thank you! Looks very useful.

Regarding names, I call them YunaS, YunaA, so I guess I'll continue to call the Rikas the same way. I think there are some more Yunas and Rikas that haven't made a splash on the international scenes yet. Maybe they never will but it could get even more confusing in the future. Isn't there also a "Mao Watanabe" too?
I wish Yuna Shiraiwa would spell her name Yuuna and Yuka Nagai would spell her name Yuuka like they actually sound though.

:laugh2: Sorry it's in Japanese but I couldn't resist.

Since Yuzuru is said to be a S-type, his die hard fans must learn to become M-types ;)

Nobu and Kozuka went to Yukari Nakano's wedding reception yesterday. She looks beautiful and Kozuka looks healthy/happy too. Congratulations to Yukarin and her hubby.

Mura skated to his SP on Saturday to qualify for Kokutai and scored 81.49 according to someone who went there. I don't know how this Kokutai qualification thing works (did he even have competitors?) and don't think he skated to his FS the next day. Apparently, he landed the 4T with both feet but everything else looked good. His costume was red and black but it's not really his SP costume I'm worried about :drama:
Good luck to Mura, Shoma, Haruka, Satoko, and Miyu this weekend!:cheer:

ETA: My 777th post!

I'm probably missing a lot of names here, I just chose based on my knowledge of them and personal taste.
Good to see Wakaba competing even though she has a bye.
I hope YunaA slays here and at Junior Nationals.
I want to see Takahashi/Zaboev vs. Suzaki/Kihara
And I'd rather go to Western Sectionals than Eastern Sectionals. Just look at the long list of J/GP competitors!

Me neither. Bad fan! Thank goodness I'm not interested in getting folders of him. It saves me a lot of money from buying chewing gums and chocolate bars

Mao Watanabe is also from Chukyo Univ :)
The last skater listed here.

^Thanks for additional information cohkaix!

If anything, I want the folders since he looks so nice but I am not so willing to buy tons of gums  As for the Mao, thank you for the info :)

thanks for all the info mikaboo and cohkaix!! i was gonna ask how many of the skaters will advance but you answered before i ask ! :yay:

new article with coach Mie Hamada after Nebelhorn Trophy, after reading her past 2 interviews she seems very wise and humble person no wonder her students are strong mentally, my admiration for her getting bigger everyday

Looks like Sei Kawahara got Skate Canada so I guess he won't be at Western Sectionals. He must have gotten Peter Lieber's spot. I didn't think a TJ skater would be chosen but I also didn't think Sei would be chosen over Ryuju either
Ganbatte Sei-kun!

^Thank you for the article matmuh. I love Hamada's students from Yukina Ota to YunaS. I don't know enough about RikaK but I like her jumps.

Are there actually a few intros?

Fuji TV makes better intros. They do J Nationals, 4CC, and Worlds. TV Asahi does GP Series, GPF and WTT.
How to tell them apart? If it makes you think, "That looks cool" it usually means it's made by Fuji, if you think "What the?!" it's probably made by Asahi
