Skaters on Team Japan

Okie dokie great thanks for the info

 Actually, if Nessun Dorma is playing in the background, it's Asahi, if it's Bolero, it's Fuji.

Lol. Actually I don't dislike the one  would like to see Yuzuru's another SEIMEI costume, Mao's graceful movements and Mura's new costume! etc etc....

Anyway, thank you for the link.

To be fair, it's much better than last year's and how does Mao manage to look so decent:love: in this cringeworthy situation?

Congratulation to Shoma and Satoko!!

While SA is almost coming to an end, in case anyone interested, Japan Novice FS national championship is currently on. At the moment it's the 'Novice-A' ladies in competition (incl. competitors such as Moa Iwano (11), Miyu Honda (23), and Rika Kihira (36) ). And the unofficial live update can be found here:
http://deep-edge.net/rs/nc2015/nv_NvAL.html

Speaking of the novice comp, I'm interested in Shun Sato. He won the Novice A men yesterday and in the tweets I saw people comparing him to Yuzuru but I feel like it might have been because of his costume? Because some tweets mentioned Sota too. I know he's from the north (east) like Yuzuru. I hope there are some news clips of him!

I saw some people get excited over Moa Iwano's score, but I see that Rinka Watanabe has higher TES and is in 2nd place! Let's see if Rika Kihira can deliver skating last

Omg, that made me laugh so hard. It was the tinkling that finished me off. It looked like a worse version of a Strictly Come Dancing (Dancing with the Stars) promo.

I don't know who in TV Asahi thinks it's a good idea to make these intros and why nobody stops them but they're hilarious so in a way, I hope they continue to make them.

I really don't think the intros are that bad XD;

So the results of the novice nationals were pretty surprising! I didn't know that is was possible for someone to WD from regionals but still go to nationals?? That looks like what happened right? Mako Yamashita came in second with a great score and I was like what? I haven't seen that name before  It seems she WD from Chubu regionals and also did poorly at last year's nats. I like Moa (from the little I've seen of her) but it's good for Kihira and Yamashita to have the best scores here since they're the ones who could be on the JGP next season.

Short video of Novice National -- focusing on Novice A ladies only (esp. Kihira Rika)

The link to the results & protocols has been provided in the discussion of '2015-16 Japanese Figure Skating Championships' - Japanese regionals and sectionals 2015. But I'm re-posting the link with photos of the champions:
http://www.jsfresults.com/National/2015-2016/fs_j/nationalnovice/index.htm

IIRC (from twitter), the top 3 from Novice A men's and top 4 from Novice A ladies' will be invited to Junior Nationals this year.

After SuzyQ mentioned his tech content, I also became anxious to see him skate. I came across this video uploaded earlier in the year. In case you have not yet seen this, it is a feature on him. Not sure if the link has already been shared on this thread since i know I've seen at least part of it before.

Thank you to the uploader and to whoever posted the link in the past.

Here is another video of Honda, Iwano and Kihira from Novice Nationals.
Can't believe Moa Iwano is only 11yo. She looks and sounds very mature for her age but she'll still be in Novice A next year?
I heard that Fuji TV will be broadcasting a portion of Junior Nationals live! Probably the ladies' FS, but I hope they'll show a video of Shun Sato as well.

Thanks for the video, mikaboo. I liked all the skaters. Mia is graceful and artistic. I was also really impressed with Moa Iwano. Passionate, artistic and with a great one handed Biellmann and Kihara has wonderful jumps.

Yup I've seen that one already thank you!

Ooh they probably will show Shun's skate when they're airing jr nats, if not his jr skate they'll probably show his novice one. I'll look forward to it.

Good luck to everyone skating at Skate Canada this weekend!
I am wishing for a clean SP from Yuzuru, a PB from Sei-kun, a better skate than JO from Dice, no pops or urs from Kana-chan and Yuka.

I'm glad Yuna could skate a good SP after her disappointing GP event
