OOO Red violin... Michelle Kwannn!!!! Anyone know who choreographs them?

I am really intrigued by Black Orpheus, which one? This one?

I like these combo, mysteriously, sophisticated and dynamic make nice contrast with her previous seasons.

Very interesting music choices. Idk if she can pull off Black Orpheus since her style has been one-note until now, but I'm looking forwards to seeing it!

Omg. I'm thrilled by her music choices.

I hope she really kills it this season and becomes consistent. It would also be nice to see improved SS.

You can do it So Youn!

Sunny_Star posted this one on the program thread which I love. It will be interesting which version she pick. For the first time this season, I am really intrigued by the program because it is such an unknown and unexpected direction for SoYoun.

There's so many versions out there including this one by Quincy Jones

Totally retro 70s jazzy rendition... or this one Korean melodrama soundiing (:laugh2:)

All thing considered, Perlman version sound ideal for figure skating music

One more guitar/classical arrangement version with City of Prague Philharmonic ... i like this one too, more cinematic and dramatic.

How about one with vocals? Bossa Nova style SoYoun?

So many choices... so many directions ... sheesh...

Does anyone have any hint of an idea when we might see the earliest debut of her program this season? Or is GP the earliest look we get to see?

I really hope she nails the Lutz and Triple triple this season. And hoping she goes clean. Not too fussed if she doesn't medal, even though I hope she does. Just want to see her clean. :/

She is skating at Finlandia Trophy this weekend.

Oh, I'm glad. :cheer2: Thanks. :yay:

Although I must add, if she's going to do any faltering this season, I hope she does it here and I hope she manages to leave the rest of the season clean. :p

Whose programs has she done before other than Karen Chen's?

She did both of SoYoun's 2013 season I believe, looks like she just went back to her old choreographer.

possible music choice strategy: LP, Kwan and Ashley's classic (Like Yuna's 09LP, Soyoun did said in interview before that her new LP will be similar to Yuna's 09LP), American choreographer for worlds in US.

Also, Soyoun used to train at SoCal the past 2 seasons during Summer. Cindy is a resident choreographer in that area.

Sound like this version of music.

I like the program very much, including the music version/edit and don't think So Youn did badly at all. Good start and she should be encouraged.

For sure there are areas where she can improve but it is looking good already. I'd say her performance can benefit fit from a more obvious gear shift in the mid section, starting at 1min59 up selling with the music mood even more. Perhaps skating with a knowing sly look and confidence (sexiness whatever you want to call it) can add more emotion, depth and insights to the womanly performance to sell all the choreograph movements better (pay attention to how each movement ends), courting the judges (playful, flirtatious) panel more may help too (Study Yuna's James Bond pls). Really own the step sequence and express externally. Clarity, bigger, sharper.
