Sofia Akateva

To go on with my hopeless protest of Sofia's relegation to Jr forever, many seniors can't engage with the audience the way she could at 11.
Random ISU delegate's answer: "We need more mature skating!"

The thing is nobody is taking the ice from those ladies, who mostly skated as seniors in their 15-16 already, while Sofia will have to spend three more years in the environment, that by ISU format is not exactly developing and nothing is done to promote it's usefullness for the skaters. If they really want longer (junior) carees, they should do something useful and motivating for the juniors.

My level of trust on ISU to do somenthing good about juniors is on par with my trust on winning the lottery without buying a ticket. :ROFLMAO:
They never did anything good to promote skating and let good skaters make an actual living out of it without depending on being select for the only 1/2/3 spots for world.

Last year we could consider Liza Tutkamisheva to be one of the best 5 skaters in the world right?
Let's say I wanted to sponsor her start of the season: ISU would give me the priviledge to see my investment skate on a international scene as much as 2 times (3 if the gp final would not have been canceled).

naaaaa.
Tomb Raider is for more mature skaters :palmf:: she has to wait :bang:
Wait, what's up with this reaction? I thought I was making a comment on translating the adventure vibes from that photo onto the ice, but this makes it sound like I was suggesting an age-inappropriate program? Apologies if it comes across that way, this was not my intention at all --- same as there is a young Indiana Jones series, I'm sure there could be a program for a 15-yo Lara Croft (or your favorite 15-yo archaeologist).

If instead this is about the raising of the age limit, I hope people start following juniors and watch Sofia skate. No matter what program, it will be a pleasure!

nononononoo my friend.
It wan not at you.
Sofia could be ok in a tomb rider or any other action film program.
The bitter comment was at the age limits that will keep sofia in junior until the end of time (as you already wondered)

Junior or not once you saw Sofia on the ice there is no turning back: you just want more

Sofia is injured :frown:
