Stars On Ice 2018 Tour - US

Hmm, looks like someone's disparaging remark was removed. This group pic with Scott Hamilton from ShibSibs Instagram looks really nice.
The outfits look classy and elegant, not gaudy at all.

Yes, I deleted it because it wasn't worth it. But since you mentioned it. Those are the same outfits, they switched out the tops and put in white belts instead of the metallic silver ones from 2016. Either way, the outfits are recycled which I never said was a terrible thing, I mean until they can find a decent designer.

We finished the routine today!

I can try to get videos of people next week but idk if I'll be able to have my phone with me.

Any idea what Ashley's 2nd solo program is? She's skating to La La Land and what else? Surprised there's been so few videos of Ashley so far. :(

Will all skaters get to do 2 solo programs? I'm also wondering what Hubbell/Donohue, Davis/White, Nathan Chen and Mirai Nagasu have as their 2nd programs. So far I only know music of 1 of their programs, but not their 2nd one.

I believe Ashley is doing a song by pink "I Am Here"
Mirai "Body Language" Queen
Nathan "Back From the Edge"
Davis White are doing "I Want To Hold Your Hand" from Across the Universe and "Elastic Heart" by Sia

Seriously I would pay the same amount of $$ and travel the same distance just to watch Nathan doing crossovers :o: It's totally worth it. And I just found out yesterday that 6 of my friends have bought tickets too:hap93:

I would pay anything to see Joshua perform live. Because I never have, and now, it seems, I never will.

Looking to see if any links of Ashley's La La Land have been posted because I am really interested in that program and she only performed it once in competition. And the only video of it that we have has Tara Lipinski talking over the beginning of it.

I don't believe people will spend time or money on many things. But if it makes them happy, I'm not judging, just saying it's not my cup of tea.

Actually you ARE judging. And really, why are you in this thread?

I wish there was one close enough that I could go. I looked though and I’m in oklahoma and not only is there not 1 here but I didn’t see one in a state that even bordered oklahoma.

Just confirmed the reservations for the trip to chicago! Im excited, ive been to many local ice shows hosted by my skating club but never one like this 😀

I'm jealous both US and Canada get something like SOI. We hardly get ice shows, and if we do there's no well known skaters in them. I would to see D/W again for example. SO I used to make DVDs of their shows, and I've got them all. Not that I like all the programmes, but there's enough good stuff on to make it a genuinely worthwhile experience. But, haha, I take part in an ice show of my local skating club every year, and I could totally understand if hard core fans wouldn't like it much...but our audience consists of family and friends who don't know a thing about FS, but do like a nice performance. And they pay for tickets too. Granted, not that much. But still!

Their California swing is the closest I could go and watch but why do they have to be scheduled in the middle of my finals exam week :sad21:

If the show starts at 7:30pm, when does it end? Would it be 9, 9:30 or 10pm?

Bought my tickets to my first ever SOI show! A bit of a long drive, but should be worth it.

It will be closer to ten. They hardly ever start on time, and then there is a 20 minute intermission halfway through with ice resurfacing, then the local kids usually skate and then the true second half.

Have fun!

Thank you so much for the info! Can't wait to go to my show and see all of my favorite skaters!

Hi! If the show starts at 7:30, 8:20-8:45 will be intermission, with 8:45 being the start of the second act (local selected skaters). At 9:45 the show is expected to end. If you're going to a show after this weekend, I can confirm the times, since I'll be in it. The times are from the email sent to us from USFSA.

They usually don’t start til 5-10 mins later so everything would adjust from there. And each skaters program is a different length. Been doing this since the 90’s.
