Her name was definitely on the original qualifiers list, so I'd say you're probably right and she is out.

I must say, I'm surprised Polina is still on the lists...I guess she did wait a long time to withdraw from NHK and then Golden Spin. I would love to see her shock everyone and win

I think Polina said in her IN article she would decide after Jan 1st or thereabouts whether she's going to Kansas City, So I guess we'll know soon.

Ashley needs a new FS
I know I'll get a lot of negative comments on this
But the FS of Ashley doesn't fit her . She is best when she skates to powerful classical or broadway music.
Opera programs .

But I think that was suppose to the be the point? I forget which article but Ashley said that 2016 was where she wanted to be in terms of Olympic programs, which meant this season she had to do something to contrast it. I like that she's trying something different. The music doesn't fit her but Ashley is challenging herself to fit the music and I hope she comes out guns blazing after her COC disappointment.

Based on reports in the fan fest, Gracie worked on jumps with Ouriashev briefly and is still practicing 3F for the SP. I want to see her skate with confidence and jump like she did in 2013.

I don't know why people would comment negatively. You expressed an opinion, in a positive way, saying when you think she's best.

I'll admit I was nervous about her FS choice of music this year, exactly for the reason you gave. But I'm completely converted. Many people have criticized Ashley for going for the drama, while others have wished she'd allow herself to skate to something more lyrical. Well, here it is. She may have been thinking the same thing. A great thing about performing is you get to stretch yourself, do something different; maybe she was ready for that. She can always go back to powerful classic or movie music for the olympic year.

I'm not just pleasantly surprised at what she's able to bring to Exogenesis, with Shae-Lynne's choreography; I'm thrilled. Ashley feels the music and expresses it in a way that shares her emotions and communicates with audience members who are open and willing. She's putting her heart and soul into this skate. It makes a nice contrast with her SP, which is fun, daring, and sassy. She gives both programs her all!

I agree. I also think she's wise to play against her strength this year, so she can come roaring back in 2018 with the sort of piece she excels at.

Perfecto...........Exactly my skaters in my exact order. This is what I predict but, I must admit that I'd love to see Angela Wang in between Courtney and Karen. Just because, I can't see a reason for Angela to stay competitive if she's unable to get into the last flight. There are jobs at Amusement Parks and on ships around the World and she might want to think about moving on. Carolina and Maria B. are/were much older than Angela is now but, they both had National Titles by the age that Angela is now. Did she make the podium at any of her GP's this season?

In July Angela knocked out a terrific showing by handily winning US Collegiates, but was injured by the time Skate America rolled around for her host pick GP season opener; she withdrew due to injury. At Skate America, Bell capitalized on the open door and made quite a name for herself. (Go Bell!) By November, Angela had bounced back and put out an impressive showing at Pacific Coast Sectionals. By all accounts she is back to training quite well, with high level jumps, again. I believe she will bring her A-game to Kansas City. Excited to see what's ahead for her!!!

I can't tell you how nice it is to hear this information. I saw Angela when she was a Junior. As most of you know, I followed Joshua Farris throughout his career. Angela has had difficult jump combinations for a number of years now. Maybe that's why I think she should be further along in career. I have to realize that she is still only 20 years old. Please please please Mariah bell, show up at nationals ready to go. Or Karen Chen or mirai or somebody!!!! All we can do is hope becuz the US ladies are wildly inconsistent. But I'd love to see a new champion

I think the team will be the same as last year: Wagner, Gold, Nagasu. I don't trust Mariah Bell, unfortunately.

That's exactly what they did with Mirai in 2011. We only had 2 spots for Worlds and they went Alissa Czisny and Rachael Flatt. Then, they US sent all 3 Ladies to 4CC where Mirai defeated both Alissa and Rachael. Then the tsunami came and it was one the strangest years ever. Alissa did skate well to finish 5th but, I think Rachael had a hip injury and didn't skate well at all. She ended up in 14th costing us a spot for 2012.

Seriously? I did not know that you can earn World spot, but not 4CC at the same time... But if that how it is, then it makes sense. Last year the initial 4CC team was excatly same as world team, and only changed because skaters themselves resigned from competing (or in case of Nathan, got himself injured...), so I naively thought that as long as number of spots is the same, the teams are named the same (based on top3 or top2 at US Nationals) and it's up to a skater if he want/can skate.
