Tatiana Volosozhar & Maxim Trankov

Upset with the scoring. I thought they were grossly underscored, on the order of 8 points. I clearly get Level 4 for the death spiral, PCS should've been a little higher (around 75). Any who, glad they got rid of the 3S+2T+2T to just 2T. Love this program too! Amazing transitions, choreographic moves, and lifts.

PCS were very conservative for them and S/M PCS was close to them.

maybe because this has been their first major international FS since Sochi
hopefully the PCS will increase next time with more mileage

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the score was a little low. I hope this motivates V/T to skate even better at Worlds!

Double Olympic champion in figure skating Tatiana Volosozhar - Maxim Trankov not be able to take part in the gala concert of the European Championship in Bratislava due to illness partner.

Tatiana before the speech felt unwell. After the competition, athletes have a high fever.

From FSRussia.

Poor Tanya, get well soon! My admiration for them grows and grows, especially for Tanya! She is such a tough lady, to skate such a fantastic program when you are ill...wow! And you even could see it already at the beginning that she was not the same as usual. What a fighter!
I looooove this program and it may even become my new all-time favourite. Until now Swan Lake was my prefered LP, but Dracula might surpass it. All the little details in it. I loved the BESP commentator who said that Max is such a good actor on the ice, that he portrayed perfectly the menace of Dracula etc.
I hope that they will stay in good health and that we can see them again at Worlds.

Nice new article in Russian with their thoughts on things for them right now, including Max saying the Germans are barely rivals cause of the 20 point margin   Oh trust him... and of course, he notes about the amount of injuries in quads- seems he's really concerned for everyone. (I'm not getting into the other thread on here about his views on quads, oh dear... :palmf:)
They also said that while Ksenia and Fedor are 100% wanting to go to worlds, they are around 95%- nothing to be worried about I'm sure, but still interesting. Thought you guys would like to take a look! :)

I read another interview on FSU that didn't include Tanya's responses- I guess for length? I think that's a shame, because here I find her answers just as interesting as Maxim's. She's such a little powerhouse.

Edit: I've noticed that when people talk about how steely tough female pair skaters are, Tanya doesn't get mentioned as often as say, Aliona or Ksenia. Maybe that's because she comes across as calmer and quieter than them (note: I love Ksenia and I respect the hell out of Aliona)? But I think it's obvious that Tanya is tough as nails.

Looks like Tanya is ok already, which is good (though wearing a warm jersey, as I see..)

She looks good here! I hope she really is better though. Poor thing, it sounds like she was quite sick. It's amazing she was able to compete so well! Was there any news about S/K being there?

Quick question: do people here think V/T will compete at Worlds? Im certainly not an expert, but with the way they skated, it seems to me like they could win! I hope they do compete.

It seems that some fans can praise to the skies only females that throw temper tantrums or boss around their partners. Tania is classy and gracious. It seems these character traits are not appreciated by some. But what do we care? Tatiana is the real queen of female pair skaters and she has all the "crowns" to show for it. ;) She also behaves like a true queen.

I think the best way to navigate skating forums without raising your blood pressure too much seems to be avoiding the non-fan fest threads at all costs. :p I wish I could remind myself of that before I went wading into other parts of the forums, oy... :rolleye:

There is no doubt that Tatiana is a flawless queen, and the skating world knows it. It's not surprising that skaters with more outgoing personalities get a little more attention from the wider fandom, but personally, Tanya is my fave. :)

Totally agree with you. Tatiana behaves like a true queen, she always smile, she's calm, quite and smart. Furthermore, she can calm high tempered Max down :).
Maxim said that Tatiana is a person who decides what to do for this team. She's exactly a queen and real boss.

This picture is from Russian Nationals, I saw the star in videos from kiss and cry and I was wondering if somebody knows why Tanya is wearing the star in her hand
