I think I was able pitch a good ball to other Japanese skaters, not just Hanyu. I want to see how they hit back. I have to stay firmly on my feet and play along in the competition. (maybe more like "ride the wave")

Interviewer: You worked very hard work for the past 3 days.
Machida: Thank you for all your support for the 3 days.
I: How do you feel now that it's over?
M: I'm happy that I was able to win the first competition and also feel relieved about it. Thanks again. This has been my 3rd competition in a row at Skate America and it has led me towards a good direction so I tried to express my gratitude to Skate America (in his EX?).
I: The ball that you threw, how do you think it will be thrown back at you?
M: I wonder. I'm looking forward to it. I'll be watching them in front of the TV.
I: It's too early to say, but you'll be going to France with an advantage over others for GPF.
M: Yes, the 1st place card is as strong as the Joker card so if I can get another medal, I think I'll be able to go.
I: Please take some time to rest.
M: Thank you very much.
