Not exactly the best SP debut for both Sohyun and Heesoo but I believe they can turn things around and make themselves proud in the LP segmentz! Fighting to both

hmmm faring better in the LP, Sohyun manages to finish 9th overall and Heesoo for the 10th

overall, not a bad debut from them. honestly, expecting a lot worse but they did okay.

I really do think they need to work on their SS skills and presentation, Sohyun especially. She needs to pull up higher and faster to get those rotations. In a way, I'm hoping for puberty to help her with muscles like Dabin. Pre-puberty wise, DB had UR issues with her small frame. I think her technique is fine and will likely survive better but she needs to grow and get those hip muscles, and etc. All in all, it's always unpredictable competing in the fs world. Hoping that we see Sohyun have a better day with competition.

Just thinking about what happened, this may continually prompt KSU to do a lot more than just bring Margaglio or a couple of tech specialist to Korea. These skaters need to go somewhere to get what they need to compete. It's cool that the younger skaters (ex. Young and Yerim and etc.) are getting benefits but they need to pay attention to current ones as well if not more.

Again? Well, it's nice to know that Cha is in a good training environment. Even at the jgp test skate, I could see visible improvements.(what a time to have had an injury, poor kid.)Looks like Nam and Jun Hwan are becoming good friends.

I really liked Sohyun's LP exceptional music and good presentation Her jumps seems secure and her technique good, no hestitation going into the elements - no telegraphing. Her SS could be better, but her speed is OK, which is a huge plus!

i have a question, since all junior men have 2 spots, what would happen if one withdraws from an event? you think they would send CJH?? its not like i am wishing anything like it, i hope they all will have great season, i am just curious cause they didnt even name CJH as sub

My understanding is that unless a substitute was named, someone else cannot be sent to the event in question. You must be either initially named or on the sub list to participate.

It does seem like it would've been wise for KSU to name some substitutes just in case...

if thats the case, then that was very stupid of them for not naming anyone else as sub, anything can happen to a skater (again, i dont wish it for anyone),
also having sub skater doesnt mean they have to send them to any competition right?

This is weird CHJ even did not list as sub? I think CHJ now is training at cricket club under Orser,is it? I dont know their strategy for CHJ at all. They seems have a great strategy for pushing Elizabet for her senior debut.

Right, just because you are listed as sub doesn't mean you have to be sent to an event. Big federations tend to have long lists of subs and then rearrange events as they see how people did at the early events, to maximize their skaters' chances of getting to the final.

I am not a fan of Da Bin's music, but at least she seems to enjoy it. She was smiling and seemed to be having fun. I feel like that's progress compared to how I've seen her skate some other times. Glad she is feeling a connection to the music.
