Drat! With spending an hour and a quarter setting up a new TV first thing this morning, I forgot to do reminder posts in the Fan Fests for my kids that are competing in Dundee today!

The final day of the Tayside Trophy is about to start. And it is running to the same order as yesterday.

It is also race day for the Portuguese round of the MotoGP. So, I won't be able to watch LIVE today. But, I'll play catch-up on my kids at least.

So sad to see when a very young skater is tearful in the K&C with his Coach, and in this case his Father too. Marius Suidek's boy not happy. He skated to Kung Fu Fighting in a black silk shirt. You will live to fight another day Ryszard.

I hope so. It must be so frustrating for them that this has happened, as it has been such a successful event. And it really shines the club in a good light.

When I was doing reminder posts for my kids earlier, the only one I could find a video for was Aleksandra Golovkina. (And boys but I am glad somebody did upload it, because she was great yesterday!)

Awwww. Poor kid. I was planning on winding back to watch him during the adverts, but now that I hear that maybe not. I never like seeing skaters crying, and I have seen it happen too often this week already.

I hope Mariusz can comfort him, both as a coach and as a parent.

This is going to be a really exciting opening group. The entire group is covered by only 1.54 points!!!

And we have an extra sub-plot, as the two Irish girls, Robyn Foster and Sophia Tkacheva, are only separated by 0.01 points!

On a personal note, after her disasterous Senior level debut in the Interclub competition earlier in the week, I really hope Robyn has her best skate ever now.

Going to have my dinner now, so will put this up in advance.

Excellent FS from Joseph Zakipour to win Junior Men, much better than any of his JGP performances.
Dillon Judge 2nd.

In Junior Women, a clean sweep by the Eastern European Ladies, who are far advanced in their Triple jumping. Top GBR woman was Christie Ann Shannon. I must say, though good Spins and Musical interpretation are good qualities to have, and I am a fan who prefers Jason to Nathan, our GBR skaters need to progress the jumps earlier in their development. You shouldn't reach Junior level and barely be able to perform a clean triple, and that's a Toe not the Lutz. Sorry to sound harsh, but that's the reality of International Skating. Parents pay for lessons and Coaching but often have no idea of the standard to win medals, they have a notion they can "go to Olympics in the future".
